1. Mount Colosseum National Park Miriam Vale
Mount Colosseum is a national park in Central Queensland, Australia, 370 kilometres northwest of Brisbane and about 6 kilometres south of the town of Miriam Vale. Mount Colosseum is a volcanic dome and is the dominant feature on the skyline of the area. The dome rises to an elevation of 470 metres and is sparsely covered in hoop pines, while the dry rainforest below contains ironbarks and bloodwoods. The park is undeveloped and has no facilities available for visitors. No camping is allowed in the park and no walking tracks exist within the park.

Deepwater is a coastal national park in Queensland, Australia, 375 km north of Brisbane. It protects an area of sand dunes and coastal heaths in the Deepwater Creek catchment. The area is one of the few remaining pristine freshwater catchments on Queensland's east coast. Deepwater National Park was established in 1988 and covers 4,090 ha.The north of the park is dominated by a 70 m high sand dune which is covered in vegetation. There are some scattered rocky outcrops of volcanic origin including a number of rocky headlands along the park's 9 km of beach frontage.

At the heart of the region, the city of Gladstone overlooks its natural deep water harbour. To the south lie the shires of Calliope and Miriam Vale with idyllic, secluded beaches and scenic National Parks. 1770 is the first place in Queensland that Captain James Cook stepped ashore. Boyne Island is renowned for its beautiful foreshore parks, while its sister city of Tannum Sands offers long sandy beaches for safe coastal recreation.

The reef islands within the Gladstone Region are true coral cays, and day trips are on offer to Lady Musgrave Island and Fitzroy Lagoon where visitors can enjoy diving, snorkelling, fishing, reef walking or exploring the flora and fauna

The region has several impressive National Parks which add camping and 4 wheel driving to the adventures you can experience in the area. The spectacular cliffs of the Kroombit Tops are cloaked in diverse flora and fauna. Mount Castletower National Park lies at the base of Lake Awoonga with its impressive, yet rugged terrain. Deepwater and Eurimbula National Parks provide the contrast of open eucalypt and paperback forests with lush rainforests and quiet beaches.

Gladstone's Tondoon Botanic Gardens are one of Australia's few totally native botanic gardens. The display areas specialise in the plants of the surrounding and Tropical North Queensland regions. The Gladstone Entertainment Centre, forms the focal point of the city's cultural activities. The Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum is a colonial Georgian structure which houses three exhibition areas.

Travel with kids in Australia is a lot of fun. This is day 2 of our 2-week road trip in Outback Queensland, Australia. We visited the Bonus Downs Farmstay, where girls tried out Enduro Motorcycles, went to Artesian Spa in Mitchell, mat with 2 years old Bilbie, had a great experience cooking at the campsite and visited the Cosmos Centre! 20 mins off the highway south of Miriam Vale in Qld, Blackman Gap Rd takes you from the Bruce Highway to the Boyne Valley.
Just at the bottom of the Boyne Valley side of the range these pools are located about 400 meters up the rock stream bed..
nice spot.

Hoje iniciarei minha série por este país que sou apaixonado. Começaremos pela sua capital Viena, e aqui passearemos por todo o seu centro histórico, onde veremos a Catedral de São Estevão (Sthephansdom,) que fica na principal praça da cidade a Sthephanplatz. De lá, irei até o Hofburg onde visitarei os utensílios de Sissi (imperdível!) e os apartamentos reais, algo muito fora do comum para nós brasileiros. Veremos ainda a Maria-Theresien Platz, o Wolksgarten e a Prefeitura da Cidade. Este é só o começo!
