Modena is a city and comune on the south side of the Po Valley, in the Province of Modena in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. An ancient town, and seat of an archbishop, it is known for its automotive industry since the factories of the famous Italian sports car makers Ferrari, De Tomaso, Lamborghini, Pagani and Maserati are, or were, located here and all, except Lamborghini, have headquarters in the city or nearby. One of Ferrari's cars, the 360 Modena, was named after the town itself.     Modena Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Modena, Italy, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Saint Geminianus. Formerly the seat of the Diocese, later Archdiocese, of Modena, it has been since 1986 the archiepiscopal seat of the Archdiocese of Modena-Nonantola. Consecrated in 1184, it is an important Romanesque building in Europe and a World Heritage Site.

    Chiesa Parrocchiale di Sant'Agostino is a Roman Catholic church located on Piazza Sant'Agostino in central Modena, Italy. A church was erected here in 1338, but underwent major reconstruction to give the present exterior from 1662 to 1670. During the 19th century, the church was briefly deconsecrated. The rather simple brick facade does not reflect the elaborately decorated interior. The basilica layout has a wide nave with protruding side altars. The ceiling holds framed canvases and is heavily encrusted with stucco sculpture. Among the works of note in the interior are a crucifix by Antonio Begarelli and a fragment of a 14th-century fresco from the earlier church attributed to Tommaso da Modena.     The Palazzo Torfanini is a Renaissance architecture palace located on Via Galliera 4, in central Bologna. It is located near the Palazzo Aldrovandi. The palace, with typical facade arcades, was commissioned by Bartolomeo Torfanini in 1544. The interiors were frescoed in 1549 by Nicolo dell'Abate. The exterior fresco work by Girolamo da Treviso and Prospero Fontana has long decayed. In 1732, the palace was refurbished by Alfonso Torreggiani for the Princesses Benedetta and Amalia d'Este of Modena. His contribution is noted in the window frames of the piano nobile. The Abate frescoes were destroyed by Torregiani's reconstruction.
