The company was originally owned by Taft Broadcasting and in 1984 was purchased for $167.5 million by senior executives and general managers of Taft's Amusement Park Group.In 1992, the company was sold to Paramount Communications , then the parent of Paramount Pictures, which changed the name of the parks by adding Paramount's in front of their names. Rare Mystery coke ovens Allegheny County Pittsburgh PA

Only known coke oven ruins in allegheny county. Located off 5th Ave N Versailles/East Mckeesport these only come out when the leaves drop. Do not know their history, but very few coke oven operations existed in Allegheny county. Ironically, the main modern coke operations are in fact in Clairton, Allegheny county!

We only found the place the day before on a potluck surf of the interwebs. The house was built in 1908 by a prominent Belgian family, then it was taken over by the Germans in World War 2. After the war the family only used the estate rarely for vacations and the house was later rented out as a Hotel. In the 1980s the estate was put up for sale but had no buyers so years of decay has taken it toll.

We're not serious urban explorers, we just love the adventure.

Urban Exploration is not for kiddies. Abandoned places are dangerous. Adventures are fun.
