Fled to the U.S. from the Yemeni civil war in 1995, the Yemeni couple, Abdul and his wife Arwa started their catering business purely from their passion in hosting big groups and treating people with homemade food. Later, they opened up House of Mandi in 2015 while continuing to serve large catering and party orders. Our friend who lived in the Middle East for some time said this is by far the best Yemeni restaurant in the DMV area. House of Mandi was featured in the Arlington Magazine in May 2017 as well. How proud!

According to officials in San Juan Puerto Rico, 4 cruise ships visited the island last week and 17,000 passengers enjoyed a visit for the day. The economic impact was estimated to be $1.5 million or $85.00 per passenger. The question to my viewers is, do you spend more or less than that amount when you do a shore excursion? I had a number of interesting replies in this video.

HOW TO SPOT A GOLD DIGGER FILIPINA
Most gold diggers are heartless and materialistic and think in terms of money only. Understand that a real sincere and genuine woman just wants time with you.
Here are some things you need to look out for to spot a gold digger Filipina:
1. If she's always asking for money. or she expects you to spend money on her.
2. If they are always complimenting you even when there is no need to. (This is stroking your ego-to gain your trust. It's emotional manipulation.)
3. If she's not working. Most Filipinas will look online for a sugar daddy.
(They view foreigners as a means of financial freedom. In their minds, all foreigners are rich and fair game.)
4. The best way to test if someone is a gold digger or not. If you've been providing funds and gifts, try taking it away then see how she reacts. (If they are a gold digger then you will not hear from them again.)
5. Ask questions, and the purpose of your questions is to find out if she's interested in you or your money. (Questions you might ask, 1. What's the best thing you like about me? 2. Why are you attracted to me?) If they can't give you a specific answer this suggests they are a gold digger.
Traits of a gold digger:
1. They never pay for anything themselves.
2. They have no goals or purpose or plans because you and your money are all she wants.
3. They are always curious about your finances- how much money you have ---they use these questions to calculate how much they can ask you for.
4. Usually, they are very jealous, so to keep you isolated from friends and family and especially other women. Your mother, sister etc. the reason being it avoid you having your eyes open so that she will not be uncovered.
5. Usually very very vain. Always concerned about their looks and fashion and appearance.
6. They persuade you by giving you pleasure,, online,, when you meet, etc. that is the reward for you giving them money..

Thai Elephant Massage - by a Cute Baby Elephant in Koh Samui
In 2007 I volunteered to get a massage from a baby elephant in Thailand, on Koh Samui. The baby elephant was super cute and kept tickling me and also gave me a big wet kiss on my check. Surprisingly, the elephant actually gave a great special massage - with the perfect amount of pressure! It wasn't a Thai Hot Stem Massage of course, but it was impressive and disturbing that a baby elephant could do this. Learn more about how I ended up experiencing this here:
Reading more about how these baby elephants are trained to do these types of 'stunts' - it's pretty shocking. On the PETA Asia-Pacific site it shares videos about how baby elephants are taken from their mothers, tied down, and beaten so severely that they bleed and scream, all in order to force them to perform ridiculous tricks for tourists.
