Gaztelugatxe is an islet on the coast of Biscay belonging to the municipality of Bermeo, Basque Country . It is connected to the mainland by a man-made bridge. On top of the island stands a hermitage , dedicated to John the Baptist, that dates from the 10th century, although discoveries indicate that the date might be the 9th century. With another small neighboring island, Aketx, they form a protected biotope that extends from the town of Bakio until Cape Matxitxako, on the Bay of Biscay.

The Natural Park is located in Cabárceno, Pisueña Valley 17 kilometres from Santander, located in a former iron mine in the town of Cabárceno Township Penagos . The park belongs to Cantur, a company whose purpose is the promotion of tourism and which is owned by the Government of Cantabria. Cabárceno Park has two roles: one is the conservation of endangered species and the other is environmental education.

The Cueva de El Castillo, or Cave of the Castle, is an archaeological site within the complex of the Caves of Monte Castillo, in Puente Viesgo, Cantabria, Spain. The archaeological stratigraphy has been divided into around 19 layers, depending on the source they slightly deviate from each other, however the overall sequence is consistent, beginning in the Proto-Aurignacian, and ending in the Bronze Age.The El Castillo cave contains the oldest known cave painting: a large red stippled disk in the Panel de las Manos was dated to more than 40,000 years old using uranium-thorium dating in a 2012 study. El monumento a la virgen del Emigrante se encuentra en el hermoso paseo del Rinconín de la ciudad de Gijón (Asturias - España) Su autor fue el artista Ramón Muriedas.

Se trata de un monumento que habla por si mismo y que recuerda a las personas que abandonaron España durante las épocas difíciles y a sus madres, siempre desgarradas por el dolor de ver partir a sus queridos hijos en busca de una vida mejor, al otro lado del mar.

El monumento a la Madre del Emigrante se encuentra rodeado de una zona espectacular. Las vistas son maravillosas e invitan a meditar sobre el tema de la emigración y recordar que todos somos iguales y que es bueno recordar que, ahora mismo, la situación que vivieron las madres de Gijón la siguen viviendo millones de otras madres en todo el planeta.
