Chippenham, Wiltshire, UK TRAVEL VIDEO
Chippenham is one of Wiltshire's most dynamic market towns with a population of over 40,000. The combination of the old and the new, the historic architectural gems, modern shopping centres and nearness to some of the country’s greatest houses and historic villages, makes this town midway between Bath and Swindon an ideal location for touring and access to the southern Cotswolds.
Chippenham is set on a prominent crossing of the River Avon and lies between the Malborough Downs to the East, the Cotswolds to the North and West and Salisbury Plain to the South. Surrounding the Town are a number of stone-built Cotswold villages villages, including Lacock (National Trust), Biddestone and Castle Combe. The great house and art treasures of Longleat, Bowood, Lacock Abbey, Sheldon Manor and Corsham Court are within easy reach.
King Alfred The Great (born in Wantage in AD 849), Anglo Saxon King of England, had a palace in Chippenham.

Journey Down The Nile River - Amazing Egypt
From the pastoral to the industrial, cruise down the world's most storied river The Nile in a once in a lifetime journey.

The Nile River is a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa, it's generally regarded as the longest river in the world at 6,853 km long. The Nile is an international river as its water resources are shared by eleven countries, namely, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt. In particular, the Nile is the primary water resource and life artery for Egypt and Sudan.
Most of the population and cities of Egypt lie along those parts of the Nile valley north of Aswan, and nearly all the cultural and historical sites of Ancient Egypt are found along the riverbanks. The Nile ends in a large delta that empties into the Mediterranean Sea.

The Swanage Belle with 70013 and 34067 15-10-11
My longest video so far on YouTube is of the Swanage Belle on the 15th October and its associated light engine movement on the 14th. This is to be my first proper feature length video, hopefully the first of many. The locomotives used on this tour were originally supposed to be 34067 Tangmere and 30777 Sir Lamiel, however, after 30777 set fire to half of Nottinghamshire (or somewhere up that way), 70013 was called up to run the outward leg of the excursion, starting at London Euston.
Our video starts at Shawford, south of Winchester and north of Eastleigh. 34067 is running south to Eastleigh to turn, then to Swanage. Around 2 minutes late, 34067 appears around the corner, on the slow line.
While 34067 was being uncoupled from her support coach, we dashed ahead of her to Eastleigh and Campbell Road, over the South Western main line. The loop at Eastleigh is one of the only places in the south where you can turn an engine of 34067's size. After 15 minutes, Tangmere reappeared, facing the opposite direction, where it stopped for a compulsory signal check. This meant getting a couple of detailing shots while 34067 waited for a through road.
A bit later, 34067 is seen running tender first down to Swanage. This shot is from Swaythling (rather predictably for us now!)
The Saturday and the main event. The original plan was to see 70013 on the slow line at Farnborough, get two cameras set up at Potbridge and then Hook. Of course, things never went the way I had hoped. I woke up that bit too late, and so had to settle for Winchfield for the water stop. 70013 was running 10 minutes late and of course that meant that we were nearly bowled by a stopping train. Luckily, it cleared before 70013 arrived properly.
A dash round to Hook, where we could see and hear 70013 accelerating away from Winchfield (if I had sent my second cameraman to Potbridge, one thing's for sure, he wouldn't have made it!!) I had originally planned to go on the up platform, judging by the commuter train that bowled those on that platform, I was pleased to choose the down!
Moving on again, we go to Micheldever, where I met up with YouTubes own willhayfield. With a stop at Wallers Ash imminent, 70013 coasts through at 60mph.
While the engine stopped at Wallers Ash, I moved on yet again to Shawford. 70013 passing the camera just under 2 minutes after we arrived and set up.
We had a 5th shot planned, at Totton. We missed it however, and arrived just as everyone was off home, including another YouTuber SatNavDan.
The evening run was much less adventurous. We started at Southampton Parkway again, however from the up platform. With the light fading, we went round to Eastleigh to catch 34067 Tangmere watering and then departing.
I loved making this feature, and I hope you enjoyed watching it!!
