  • 1. Wat Maha That Temple Nakhon Phanom
    There are a total of 40,717 Buddhist temples in Thailand as of 31 December 2004, of which 33,902 are in current use, according to the Office of National Buddhism. Of the 33,902 active temples, 31,890 are of the Maha Nikaya and 1,987 are of the Dhammayuttika Nikaya orders of the Theravada school, while 12 are of the Chinese Nikaya and 13 are of the Anam Nikaya orders of the Mahayana school. Two hundred and seventy-two temples, 217 of the Maha Nikaya order and 55 of the Dhammayut order, hold the status of royal temple.     Phra That Phu Pek is an ancient temple in Sakon Nakhon Province, in the Isan region of Thailand. This ancient Khmer ruin was built from sandstone, standing on a laterite base. This is a Buddhist temple ruin of Khmer origin in the form of a chedi, it was built in the 16th-17th Buddhist century. The ruin is special as it houses a solar calendar, a cube-shaped rock, in its stupa. The ancients used it for indicating the position of the sun, important for religious rites and agricultural seasons. Phra That Phu Pek is in tambon Na Hua Bo, Phanna Nikhom district, Sakon Nakhon Province of northeastern Thailand, about 37 km west of the town of Sakon Nakhon.     Bueng Phra railway station is a railway station located in Bueng Phra Subdistrict, Phitsanulok City, Phitsanulok. It is located 381.875 km from Bangkok railway station and is a class 1 railway station. It is on the Northern Line of the State Railway of Thailand. The station opened on 24 January 1908 as part of the Northern Line extension from Pak Nam Pho to Phitsanulok. PTT Public Company Limited operates a crude oil depot adjacent to the site and the railway operates several oil freight services from this station .
