Places to see in ( Huddersfield - UK ) Beaumont Park
Beaumont Park is a suburb of Huddersfield, in the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees, West Yorkshire, England that is located between Netherton, Crosland Moor and Lockwood.
The housing in area of Beaumont Park is situated around the periphery of a medium-sized woodland and recreational park, known as 'Dungeon Wood' that was bequeathed to the people of Huddersfield in 1879 by the 'Beaumont's of Whitley' estate (Henry Fredrick Beaumont, for leisure purposes. Adjacent to the park is Beagle Woods, which is a popular venue for walkers. The wood is home to a kennels with a working pack of English Beagle hounds.
Beaumont Park was officially opened on 13 October 1883, by Prince Leopold, fourth son of Queen Victoria, and his wife Princess Helena of Waldeck and Pyrmont (The Duke and Duchess of Albany). Beaumont Park was Huddersfield's first public park and is a fine example of a Victorian park. The Beaumont Park is maintained by Kirklees Council with assistance from a group of volunteers interested in returning the grounds to their former glory, who have instigated many improvements to the park including a new bandstand and water cascades.

Biddestone Village Wiltshire.
Biddestone is a small, rural and rather picturesque Cotswold village in north west Wiltshire, England, with a population of 457 in 2001. It is situated near Castle Combe, Corsham, Giddeahall and Chippenham.
Biddestone has a small Norman church (St. Nicholas's), two pubs (the Biddestone Arms, and the White Horse) and a duck pond situated in a green at the centre of the village. There are also two smaller chapels, both of which are closed.
The settlement dates from Saxon times, though most buildings are from the late 18th century. Towards the edges of the village, the buildings tend to be from the 20th century.
Biddestone is located just inside the eastern boundary of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Biddestone was a filming location for the TV film Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death (2014), and for The Christmas Candle (2013).

Aberystwyth Castle (13th Century)
Built by Edward I in 1277 as part of his great castle building programme in Wales, Aberystwyth Castle overlooks Cardigan Bay. Although it lies in ruins today, enough remains for the visitor to appreciate that it was once an impressive sight.

Brewood Circular Day Hiking Staffordshire England UK
A 10 mile day hiking trip with and my partner Anne one weekend in October 2010 from Brewood, Staffordshire, England, UK. After parking the car in Brewood, off Stafford Street (grid ref SJ885089) we set off on our circular route in a wide anti-clockwise direction. Initially, we were hiking in a south west direction towards Chillington Hall and Langley Lawn Farm. After that we went south around Big Wood and over the M54 Motorway to Codsall Wood. Next we went east, skirting Codsall until we again hit the M54 close to Upper Hattons. We hiked under the motorway bridge and connected with the Shropshire Union Canal. To complete the trip we hiked northwards for about 2 miles along the canal until we returned to Brewood. This was fairly varied day hiking trip and even though there were a few long straight sections, they were still quite interesting.
We feel that his was a moderate to hard day hike because it was over 10 miles. The route was more or less flat with a few slight inclines, along solid trails, farm segments, and a few country lanes and roads. Most of route was clear and well marked. However, there were a few times we had to search for path signposts. We feel that it was a very good route for exploring the Brewood to Codsall area in South Staffordshire. Brewood is a lovely little village, well worth a visit. Hiking this area provided us with some lovely opportunities for taking photographs.
