Ski holiday Heiligenblut – holiday pleasure for young and old!
In the midst of the Hohe Tauern Mountain massif soars the majestic and impressive Grossglockner. With just under 3,800 m in heights it is Austria’s highest mountain. The area around the Hohe Tauern is still considered the cradle of alpinism. Heiligenblut is situated at the Southern base of the Grossglockner at an altitude of 1,300 m, at the upper end of the Mölltal. Coming from the North, the village can be reached through the railway connection at Bad Gastein or through the Tauern road tunnel.
The adjacent Grossglockner - High Alpine Road is closed in the winter, eliminating any through-traffic, which results in a quiet atmosphere. In addition to great fun on the pistes, every type of tourist will discover the perfect activity in Heiligenblut. Here you will find everything a typical Austrian ski holiday is known for: from a toboggan run, an ice rink, cosy cafés and restaurants right up to après ski bars and clubs.
Kids are offered a lot of fun in the ski kindergarten, the “Snowland“, as well as “Bobo’s Kinderclub”! Adventure, as well as winter hiking trails invite to enjoy the charming scenery. A small shopping arcade offers a chance to stroll.
Therefore Heiligenblut, with its intermediate pistes and its diverse leisure time offers, is the ideal holiday destination for both athletic skiers and families.

Fügen – ski area Spieljoch
Fügen is the largest and most well-known resort in the lower Zillertal and offers two high-quality ski areas. The arrival is very relaxing as Fügen is only a few minutes from the Autobahn exit Zillertal.
The interconnected ski regions “Spieljoch” and “Kaltenbach-Hochfügen” invite you to ski on a total of 176 kilometres of piste.
The ski area Spieljoch comprises 11 kilometres of perfectly prepared pistes, all located at altitudes between 630 and 2,050 metres. A total of 7 lifts and further ski school lifts in the valley and at the Spieljoch lift’s mountain station give you a great opportunity to try out your first turns in the snow. On the magic carpet, children can learn how to ski in a playful manner, while their parents can enjoy their time on skis in the area directly above the ski school.
Wonderful deep powder snow areas at the Onkeljoch as well as the 7 kilometre long valley run to Fügen will fill experts with enthusiasm. The broad pistes around the Spieljoch are ideal for carvers, pleasure skiers and experienced skiers.
Numerous huts invite you in to spend your lunchtime. The restaurant on the Spieljoch has its loungers out in the sun until the late afternoon, offering you the perfect place for a break.
Even in the afternoon the valley runs in this ski area aren’t too crowded, so you can end your day in a sportive manner.
In the valley, numerous bars are available to let the evening come to an end. Varied and extensive apres ski locations are also available in the lower Zillertal.
