Summer on New Hampshire Lakes - Activities to Attractions

New Hampshire lakes are the main attraction in the Lake Region. Winnipesaukee is the centerpiece with Squam, Sunapee, Winnisquam, Wentworth, Newfound, Ossipee rounding out the larger lakes. Attractions are endless, Cog Railway on Mount Washington to Zip Lines at all the major ski resorts plus hiking trails everywhere. Among the classic American vacation spots, it doesn’t get much better than summer in New Hampshire. Within a short drive, a diversity of richly scenic and sublimely rustic destinations await you and your family.

Weirs Beach features a long, ambling boardwalk and an abundance of land-bound family attractions like bumper cars, mini-golf, penny arcades, vintage train rides, and go karts. But this is where Lake Winnipesaukee begins, after all, the water is the central lure here, so there’s no shortage of aquatic options, including scenic cruises, ferries and boat rentals, fishing, skiing, exploring or visiting your favorite restaurant by boat.
