New Meadows is a rural city in Adams County, Idaho, United States, at the southern and upper end of the Meadows Valley, on the Little Salmon River. Located in the west central part of the state, just south of the 45th parallel, the population was 496 at the 2010 census, down from 533 in 2000. New Meadows is located at the junction of the primary north-south highway in the state, U.S. Route 95, and State Highway 55, which connects it with McCall and Boise.

    Payette Lake is a natural lake, formed by glacial activity, situated in the upper drainage basin of the Payette River, which drains into the Snake River in southwestern Idaho. Outflow from the lake is regulated for irrigation purposes by a small dam completed in 1943. The normal maximum lake surface elevation of 1,520 metres above sea level is attained in July; a normal drawdown of 1.7 metres is completed by December. The park has hiking and biking trails, guided walks, evening programs, beach, picnic area, and opportunities for skiing, snowshoeing, and wildlife watching.

Brundage first opened 57 years ago in November 1961 and is 8 miles northwest of McCall, a twenty-minute drive in average winter conditions. The summit elevation of Brundage is 7,640 feet above sea level, with an overall vertical drop of 1,800 feet .
