Canada's First Waterslides Part One - Original water slides at Ontario Place
Where were the first major waterslides ever in Canada? Look no further, than the 1978 water slides at Ontario Place, in Toronto. Used throughout the 1970's and 1980's, these slides were eventually replaced in 1993.
Long before Froster Soak City, the Hydrofuge, Rush River Raft, and Pink Twister... these original Ontario Place water slides were as exciting as any water park!

Came here expecting a fun day.. And I was nothing but wrong. The water slides absolutely suck, you get stuck and barely move. They have very few slides and the wave pool barely makes waves... It's like a ripple in the water. The lazy river is fine, except you'll be swamped by people who don't have tubes and are just walking around in the river. This place is so so so expensive for what you get in return. And in addition you have to pay for literally everything, including chairs. This place is run down and looks like it's about to fall to the ground. There's no where to sit, there's 2 picnic benches other than that you're on the ground. Should be worth maximum $10 per person with chairs available! I'm so disappointed in my visit here. I would not recommend it to anyone.
This place is not worth going! DO NOT WASTE MONEY HERE! I was there for only 2 hours and i was bored out of my mind. Its dirty and outdated.
Hate this place it's the worst place ever for a day of fun ... Can have more fun in my backyard..look at all ur reviews should b closed by now!!! Visited June 2013
The wave urinal is so much pee, it stinks
I took the kids to Wild Water Kingdom today. Everything looked old and dated, but we thought the slides might still be fun. Would have, too, except that 90% of the slides were closed down. So there was the Lazy River, except there were barely any tubes available.
We went on July 28th. You have to pay $30 dollars to entrance and then again $10 fo parking. If you want to use the picnic area $2 per person. Ridiculas altogether. Then you can't take any drink or food inside. Once inside there a wave pool . So dangerous. that day only close to 20 drowing. Only there is a line under the pool to mark the deep end there is no mesurement mark to see. Also arround the area is just a rope . No cover any kid will run arround and accidently fell into this. I think this is deep over 10 feet. Very dangerous. Overall this place is ver dissapointed and waste. Will never go again or recommend to anyone.
Dirty people bringing their kids for a bath, that's all it is. Worn down, unsafe, and too expensive for the 'rat hole' it is.
Straight up G-H-E-T-T-O. Please at the very least cut the grass and use some sort of weed killer on the walk way.
Dirty and crowded. I wouldn't go back here if you paid me. I would be afraid of catching a disease or fungus... ick!
The park is Very Dirty, the park needs an update. They need to add some more new slides. more lounge areas
The owner of this park should be ashamed of the disgraceful grounds and dumpy appeal. The mini golf was falling apart and run down, but what more would you expect when it's the only extra activity included in the admission price.
My son and his friend said they got stuck in the middle of half of the slides due to not enough water..? And they had to use their hands to push themselves through.
We will never ever again visit this dump of a facility.
I agree with many of the reviews I am very surprised that some type of inspector didn't shut this place down. the paint was chipped but then so was the cement in many areas not safe to walk in bare feet for sure. you really have to watch where your going. got stuck on the slide as there was poor water flow. I found VINYL GLOVES in in the kids area floating in the water along with garbage. the bathrooms smelt of raw sewage. carpets torn in many places. the list can go on and on and on I feel that it is not only filthy but so many places I was seeing how people could get SOOOO hurt. if you go where water shoes and be careful. my son go a very large scratch on his back from going down a slide.....just....don't go.
