De Maisonneuve Boulevard (officially in French: boulevard De Maisonneuve) is a major westbound boulevard located in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is named after the founder of Montreal, Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve. It is a one-way street westbound.
De Maisonneuve Boulevard is about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) long and begins on Du Havre Street in the east end (one block east of Frontenac Street in the borough of Ville-Marie), and ends at West Broadway in the city's west end (in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce) near Concordia University's Loyola Campus. The street also runs through the wealthy enclave of Westmount, where it is one-way, and is cut in two by Westmount Park.

Canada is a country located in the northern part of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98 million square kilometres (3.85 million square miles), making it the world's second-largest country by total area. Canada's southern border with the United States is the world's longest bi-national land border. Canada is sparsely populated, the majority of its land territory being dominated by forest and tundra and the Rocky Mountains. It is highly urbanized, with 82 percent of the 35.15 million people concentrated in large and medium-sized cities, many near the southern border. Its capital is Ottawa, and its three largest metropolitan areas are Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Canada's climate varies widely across its vast area, ranging from arctic weather in the north, to hot summers in the southern regions, with four distinct seasons.
Various indigenous peoples have inhabited what is now Canada for thousands of years prior to European colonization. Beginning in the 16th century, the British and French established colonies, the first being the colony of Canada established by France in 1535. As a consequence of various armed conflicts, British North America gained and lost territory until, by the late 18th century, it controlled most of what comprises Canada today. On July 1, 1867, the colonies of Canada, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia were federated to form the semi-autonomous federal Dominion named Canada. This began an accretion of provinces and territories to the Dominion to the present ten provinces and three territories forming contemporary Canada. Canada achieved independence gradually beginning with responsible government in the 1830s and culminating with the patriation of the Constitution in 1982. In 1931, Canada achieved near-total independence from the United Kingdom with the Statute of Westminster 1931, except for the power to amend its constitution.
Canada is a federal parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy, with Queen Elizabeth II being the head of state. The country is officially bilingual at the federal level. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many other countries. Its advanced economy is the tenth-largest in the world, relying chiefly upon its abundant natural resources and well-developed international trade networks. Canada's long and complex relationship with the United States has had a significant impact on its economy and culture.
Canada is a developed country and has the fifteenth-highest nominal per capita income globally as well as the tenth-highest ranking in the Human Development Index. It ranks among the highest in international measurements of government transparency, civil liberties, quality of life, economic freedom, and education. Canada is a realm within the Commonwealth of Nations, a member of the Francophonie, and part of several major international and intergovernmental institutions or groupings including the United Nations, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the G7 (formerly G8), the Group of Ten, the G20, the North American Free Trade Agreement and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.

Anthropology of the Dutch: Catholics in The Netherlands
The pigeonhole man is looking for the True Catholics. On his way he meets Catholics who experience and express their faith in very different ways. Thus he experiences the distinction between orthodoxy and freethinking. Where does that multiformity come from? What makes somebody a good catholic? How are modern Dutch Catholics dealing with centuries-old traditions and regulations that are so typical of the Catholic Church? And what does the church, plagued by scandals and image damage, do in order to make catholicism attractive again to young Catholics?
Original title: De Hokjesman - De Katholieken
Fascinated by the prevailing pigeonhole spirit, the pigeonhole man goes on field research into the world of appealing Dutch subcultures. With a wink to the classical ethnologist, dressed in a three-piece suit with a bow tie, he analyzes the man as one of the animal groups.

Romantic love locks are padlocks that after a custom of lovers on bridges are attached to symbolically seal their eternal romantic love. The custom is probably originated in Italy. The exact origin of the custom is unclear. The starting point of the custom in Europe is very likely Italy. It is believed that graduates of the Medical Academy San Giorgio in Florence are the authors of this custom. With the end of their training period, graduates fortified the padlocks of their lockers in a grid of Ponte Vecchio. This was probably the lover of Rome at the Milvian Bridge over as service.
The roots of romantic love locks can be applied in many different directions. They extend for hundreds of years back in time in China with hanging lock charms set on small children as magic spells to give a long and happy life with good health. The custom still exists.
The practice has since spread to many countries. In Vrnjačka Banja in Serbia, it is claimed, is to insist on the so-called romantic love bridge the custom since the First World War, where the bridge railing romantic love Locks were installed.
In Germany, since late summer 2008, the first romantic love locks on the Cologne Hohenzollern Bridge connected, and this place was the custom to currently popular in Germany. In Bamberg of Germany, after inviting the public to attach romantic love locks on the Kettenbrücke in 2011, officials threatened to remove them during the same year due to rust. After public outrage and several township meetings, the locks remain.
In Canada romantic love padlocks appearing along the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet on Vancouver Island, have caused some division as the locks are considered a distraction from nature by some. romantic love padlocks were removed from the Humber Bridge in Toronto due to concerns over aesthetics and structural concerns if the Bridge were to become a romantic love padlock destination.
Deutsche Bahn threatened to have the locks removed from the Hohenzollern Bridge in Cologne. Deutsche Bahn is the bridge's operator, but in the end relented in the face of public opposition.
In Algiers romantic love padlocks have been added the 7th of September 2013 to a bridge that was previously known as suicide bridge in Telemly a district of Algiers, but after a video made by an imam saying that romantic love padlocks are forbidden in Islam, some youths brought tools to remove them by night on the 9th of September.
In Fengyuan, Taiwan romantic love padlocks affixed to an overpass at the city's train station are often affixed in pairs. These locks are known as wish locks and local legend holds that the magnetic field generated by trains passing underneath will cause energy to accumulate in the locks and fulfill the wishes.
The legend of this young fountain tells us that if a lock with the initials of two people in romantic love is placed in it, they will return together to the fountain and their romantic love will be forever locked.
In Singapore, Lock of romantic love appeared in 2013. Launched by a shopping mall Central at Clarke Quay. Hundreds of locks are hung on a rack outside the shop. The grid is placed along the River Singapura.
In Moscow, the authorities installed on Luzhkov bridge metal trees whose branches used to hang padlocks lovers. The aesthetic effect makes it a tourist attraction.
The word romantic love Lock introduced on Language Council neologisms list 2010 with the description padlock as a loving couple attaches to any public place and locks, after which the key thrown away; symbolizes eternal romantic love.
You find romantic love turned primarily in Europe and Asia, but also in North and South America and in Australia. The locks hanging on railings or fences of iron, like the rivers, on the high mountain, especially romantic places and sometimes at temples and statues.
In Tallinn and Moscow, and in some places along the Great Wall of China, the tradition of newlyweds is to set up romantic love locks at the beginning of marriage.
