Death Valley National Park Road Trip
If you're not a big fan of the heat, but want to know what it's like inside Death Valley, this Death Valley tour video might help. This is the road trip my friend and I took just before summer.

Death Valley is one of the hottest places in the world. It’s also a short 4 hour drive away from Los Angeles. With summer approaching, I wanted to take a road trip out to Death Valley before it got too hot.
My friend Bobby went with me. Neither of us had been, yet. We were only there two days yet I’d say we did learn how to road trip Death Valley successfully by failing at a few things first.
Here are some basic tips to get you started:
Bring a hat, sunscreen, and lots of water. And make sure you are 100% confident in whatever car you are taking out there. The conditions are rough. There’s virtually no cell phone service and no relief from the sun if you get stranded. Also, Death Valley camping is a thing, but I suggesting you know what you're doing. Because we wanted to make things simple, we just stayed in a motel in Beatty, right outside the park.
As I said, we planned on making this road trip to Death Valley a simple one, but it turned out to be the opposite of that because of car trouble. I had to get my car towed. I’ll let the video explain that.

Badwater Basin, Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Artist’s Drive/Palette
Devil’s Golf Course was pretty cool too. But mainly just because it’s fun to walk on. It’s razor sharp though.
Also, If you road trip Death Valley, consider the car you bring because there are certain roads that are only good for high clearance vehicles. Most of top sights are all accessible via paved roads, but there are a few (like the Race Track) that aren’t.
Where to stay in Death Valley:
We stayed overnight in a town called Beatty. It’s right outside the east edge of Death Valley and much cheaper. There are also some town-like areas (used town very loosely) inside the park with hotels, cottages, and camp grounds. Consider staying in Furnace Creek, Stovepipe Wells, or Panamint Springs. If you're looking for hotels near Death Valley, you don't have many options. I'd say Lone Pine to the west and Beatty to the east are your best options. Death Valley camping sites can be found all over the park. But again, make sure you know what you're doing and go in a cooler month.
We went in May to beat the heat, but it didn’t work. Death Valley weather is crazy. It was 110 and 111 the days we were there. The week before the weather was in the 90’s. The NP website actually says May is usually when it starts getting too hot for visitors.

Sebastopol California Walking Tour for Tourists and RVers
There are no campgrounds in Sebastopol, but it's on the way to the campgrounds in Guerneville, Duncan Mills and on the beaches, like at Bodega Bay. It's also near the KOA in Petaluma. (The KOA in Petaluma is very expensive, like $60-70 a night, and they pack you in like sardines. The campgrounds in Duncan Mills, like Casini Ranch, are much more scenic, like right up to the Redwoods, and closer to the beaches. Those are $50-$70 a night for RVs.) There are also some Sonoma county parks, like Lake Sonoma a little west of Healdsberg, that take RVs, and are about $35 a night.
Sebastopol is an eco friendly, socially conscious little town, saturated with kitchy and whimsical art, nice people, classic hippy style, great restraunts and organic and gourmet food, reasonably priced. They also have movies, lectures, music, and other entertainment on a regular basis. So if you are in Sonoma county, stop by Sebastopol, on Hwy 116 or Hwy12.

Mexico is a federal republic in the southern portion of North America. It is bordered to the north by the United States; to the south and west by the Pacific Ocean; to the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea; and to the east by the Gulf of Mexico. Covering almost two million square kilometers (over 760,000 sq mi), the nation is the fifth largest country in the Americas by total area and the 13th largest independent state in the world.
With an estimated population of over 120 million, the country is the eleventh most populous and the most populous Spanish-speaking state in the world while being the second most populous nation in Latin America. Mexico is a federation comprising 31 states and a special federal entity that is also its capital and most populous city. Other metropolises include Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla, Toluca, and Tijuana.
Pre-Columbian Mexico dates to about 8,000 BC, is identified as one of seven cradles of civilization and was home to many advanced Mesoamerican civilizations, such as the Olmec, Toltec, Teotihuacan, Zapotec, Maya and Aztec before first contact with Europeans. In 1521, the Spanish Empire conquered and colonized the territory from its politically powerful base in Mexico-Tenochtitlan, which was administered as the viceroyalty of New Spain. Three centuries later, the territory became the current nation following recognition in 1821 after the colony's Mexican War of Independence. The tumultuous post-independence period was characterized by economic inequality and many political deep changes. The Mexican–American War (1846–1848) led to a territorial cession of the extensive northern territories to the United States. The Pastry War, the Franco-Mexican War, a civil war, two empires and the Porfiriato occurred through the 19th century. The Porfiriato was ended by the Mexican Revolution of 1910, which culminated with the promulgation of the 1917 Constitution and the emergence of the country's current political system.
Mexico has the fifteenth largest nominal GDP and the eleventh largest by purchasing power parity. The Mexican economy is strongly linked to those of its North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) partners, especially the United States. Mexico was the first Latin American member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), joining in 1994. It is classified as an upper-middle income country by the World Bank and a newly industrialized country by several analysts. By 2050, Mexico could become the world's fifth or seventh largest economy. The country is considered both a regional power and middle power, and is often identified as an emerging global power. Due to its rich culture and history, Mexico ranks first in the Americas and seventh in the world by number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Mexico is a megadiverse country, ranking fourth in the world by biodiversity. In 2016 it was the eighth most visited country in the world, with 35 million international arrivals. Mexico is a member of the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, the G8+5, the G20, the Uniting for Consensus and the Pacific Alliance.
