The beautiful town Seydisfjordur in late April, East Iceland.
It is a beautiful scenery to drive to Seyðisfjörður.
Seyðisfjörður, a fjord skillfully carved by the ice age glacier, is distinguished by excellent harbour facilities and Norwegian heritage. Seyðisfjörður has been an important trading center from the nineteenth century up to modern times, due to natural harbor and proximity to the european continent.
The colourful, Norwegian-style wooden houses, dating from the early years of the 20th. century render this village unique in Iceland.

List of cities and towns in Iceland
This is a list of cities and towns in Iceland. Some of Iceland’s larger cities and towns are also self-contained municipalities whose geography and populations are therefore equal. However, most of Iceland’s municipalities, which are semi-autonomous administrative zones, contain several disparate towns or cities, each of whose population contributes to that of its respective municipality.
In addition to Iceland's many independent towns, this article includes cities and towns whose municipalities consist of one, self-contained city of the same name, such as Hafnarfjörður and Akranes. Municipalities that are not also cities or towns, such as Árborg, are not included here, but their constituent towns and cities are. For Árborg, these include the towns of Selfoss, Eyrarbakki, and Stokkseyri.
For more information on the administrative divisions of Iceland, refer to the “Divisions” section of the Iceland infobox on this page.

Icelandic Road-Tunnels #1 The Tunnel To Siglufjörður
The road tunnel to Siglufjörður on the north coast of is the first serious road tunnel to be made in Iceland. The purpose was to make a road to this remote town that could be used all year around. The project started in 1959 with 30m progress and continued from 1964-1967 and the tunnel opened 10th of November 1967. Currant Avg. traffic is 250 cars pr. day.
Siglufjörður was then connected to Ólafsfjörður and Eyjafjörður in 2010 when Héðinsfjarðargöng Tunnels opened up, spanning 11km and opening the town fully to the rest of the country but Siglufjörður is located in Tröllaskagi (Troll peninsula) but it's one between the fjord of Skagafjörður and the fjord of Eyjafjorður.
The peninsula is mountainous with several peaks reaching over 1200m above sea level, some over 1400m. It is the part of Iceland with the highest elevation outside the central highlands.
Pls click on the link if you want more info about this mountainous area that's one of Iceland's most beautiful areas.
Small Icelandic Towns #4 - Kópavogur - The Largest Small Town in Iceland
My small town series are meant to give you an idea about how it is to live in Icelandic small towns, without sounding like a tourist guide. My motto is to show them in different seasons trough drive-around videos, as they are, in every kind of mood and weather there is. Please tolerate with my work since I'm an amateur in film-making but practice makes perfect. My plan is to make a mini-documentaries over all Icelandic towns in the next years so this is far from end result. I use all my free time to record in different seasons, making info-texts and collecting feedback in order to make my material straight to the point with the information travellers seek while planing their trip to my country.
So enjoy this winter ride trough Iceland's second largest town, but it's small on international scale. Please use the subtitle option for full narration, or turn them of to enjoy the view even better.

HÓLAR ICELAND
HÓLAR is a small town and an old peat farm in Iceland. This is how the Icelandic Vikings used to live.
HÓLAR es un pueblo pequeño y una antigua granja de turba de Islandia. Así vivían antiguamente los vikingos islandeses.
