Our visit Valencia travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide to Valenciana cuisine and Spanish food, top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting cathedrals, pizzerias, the old town, quirky neighborhoods and museums. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical València tourism brochure, Valencia itinerary or Valencia, Spain city tour also known as València España.
10 Things to do in Valencia, Spain Travel Guide Video Transcript: (València)
Continuing our travels through Spain, our next stop was Valencia.
Located along the coast, Spain’s third-largest city is renowned for its mild climate, futuristic constructions and paella.
We’ll spent most of our time in Valencia was mostly spent eating, but when we weren’t restaurant hopping or snacking our way through markets, we were exploring the city on foot and the destination quickly rose to the top.
In this Valencia travel guide we’re going to take you guys on a tour of the city and show you some of the things you can do on your visit.
After lunch we were ready to go sightseeing around Valencia. Our first stop: the Silk Exchange.
We went on a walk around the Old Quarter without much of a plan in mind. We saw some street art browsed through a few shops, and randomly stumbled across the narrowest building in Europe - that’s the terracotta.
Since the tower was closed, we decided to stop by Horchateria Santa Catalina to try a drink that you either love or hate: horchata.
This cold milky-looking drink is made with chufas, better known as tiger nuts in English.
Our next attraction was Valencia Cathedral, which is home to a Holy Chalice that has been defended as the true Holy Grail.
If there’s one dish that we had to try in Valencia, it was paella. Many non-Spaniards view paella as Spain's national dish, but Spaniards will tell you this is a regional Valencian dish.
The City of Arts and Sciences, is a cultural and architectural complex that looks quite spacey and futuristic.
The complex itself is made up of various structures including a domed-glass garden that’s filled with palm trees, the planetarium, an interactive science museum, an aquarium, an opera house, and a plaza designed to hold concerts and sporting events and Turia Park.
But paella wasn’t all we had at the restaurant. We also ordered fideuá.
We had a food adventure in Valencia’s Central Market. Although this is primarily a place to buy your fresh fish, vegetables, meat, and fruit, you can also find some stands that sell smaller snacks and traditional Spanish dishes.
To wrap up our trip to Valencia, we’ll leave you with a few nighttime shots of the city washed aglow. We hope you enjoyed this Valencia travel guide and that it gave you a few ideas of things to do around the city.
This is part of our Travel in Spain video series showcasing Spanish food, Spanish culture and Spanish cuisine.

Where To Stay In Barcelona, Ona Hotels Mosaic, Best or weirdest?! HOTEL REVIEW BARCELONA, SPAIN 2019
Ona Hotels Mosaic is centrally located, so you will have no problem finding tourist sites, restaurants, bars, or accessing the metro. The hotel has been beautifully constructed to highlight the building history while adding modern features.
We booked a room with a terrace, which included toiletries, safe, fridge, and free WIFI. Our terrace didn’t have a view and looked into a courtyard with views into other people’s apartments.
The room was decorated very well and had a modern colour scheme suited to a Spanish hotel. We did, however, find the rooms to be a little small and the distance between the bed and shower too close.
Although we didn’t book a room with breakfast, the hotel gave us complimentary coffee and snack vouchers for breakfast next door, which we were able to ask for again through our whole stay.
There was so much to love about this hotel, especially its staff, décor, and location. If you don’t mind the setup of their bathrooms in the room, this hotel would be a good choice for Barcelona.

Our visit Ljubljana travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide (Slovene, Balkan and Bosnian), top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting castles, churches, the old town, quirky neighborhoods, museums and along the river. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical Ljubljana tourism brochure, Ljubljana itinerary or Ljubljana, Slovenia city tour also known as Laibach.
10 Things to do in Ljubljana, Slovenia Travel Guide Video Transcript:
Prešeren Square is a central meeting spot in the heart of the Old Town, so it made sense to start our tour of Ljubljana here. You’ll find the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation, lots of gelato shops, and the baffling bridge we just mentioned.
As for the reasoning behind the Triple Bridge and the famed dragon bridge, which is guarded by four dragons.
Ljubljana’s Central Market is another spot worth checking out.
We needed to sample some Slovenian food so we went to Allegria.
Sam ordered Zlikrofi (zhlee-krofi), a Slovenian dumpling stuffed with potato + lamb goulash along with Slovenian sausage with cabbage & potatoes.
Ljubljana Castle, which sits on Castle Hill overlooking the city. Built as a medieval fortress in the 11th century, Ljubljana Castle has seen many redesigns and renovations. Climb the Outlook Tower for 360 degree views of the city.
There are departures for cruises down the Ljubljanica. We boarded a cruise directly underneath the Love Lock Bridge, which is actually called Mesarski Most. It was our favourite activity in Ljubljana and it was a super relaxed way to watch the city.
Metelkova is home to the best street art.
One place we really enjoyed was Sarajevo 84, a restaurant specializing in Balkan cuisine. The portions massive & everything we ordered was delicious.
We had a feast featuring: grilled meat with pita and onions, baked beans and sausage, roasted peppers, and a flaky pastry stuffed with cheese. It only came to 23 Euros.
Speaking of galleries and museums, a few you’ll find include: the National Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art, and the National Museum of Slovenia.
We finished off at Tivoli, which is the largest park in Ljubljana.
And that’s it for our time in Ljubljana. Our visit was short, tasty, and relaxing, and we’re really glad we made some time to visit this underrated capital.
Now you guys know the drill; if there are any other things to do in Ljubljana that we may have missed in this travel guide, feel free to share your suggestions with fellow travellers below.
