Mainz Cathedral in the southwestern city of Mainz, Germany has been evolving in appearance since late in the tenth century when it was first constructed.

Inside the magnificent structure, visitors will find an impressive array of religious art and artifacts, including many crypts and tombs.
In 1188, the then Holy Roman Emperor chose this Cathedral in which to proclaim his support for the Third Crusade.
Though the stalwart cathedral did not escape World War Two unscathed, it did survive the Allied bombings, and was soon after restored.
The Cathedral has been beckoning visitors and natives who pass through the bustling center of Mainz for over a thousand years.

Unser Rundgang durch Nierstein, einer Stadt am Rhein im Landkreis Mainz-Bingen (Rheinland-Pfalz), führt uns durch enge Gassen mit vielen Fachwerkhäusern zum Marktplatz.
Danach schauen wir uns drei Kirchen und einige Weingüter an. Einzelheiten siehe Untertitel.

Crossing the Rhine by Cable car at Koblenz
This cable car line, also known as the BUGA cable car, was built in 2011 to connect the river level area of Koblenz (where the River Moselle meets the River Rhine) to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. It is Germany's first three-wire cable car system. It operates with 18 cabins and has the capacity of transporting 7,600 people per hour. These pictures were recorded on a descent crossing on Monday 3rd August 2015.

Hier ein weiteres Video zum Thema Lost Place und Urban Exploration. Diesmal aufgenommen in einer Familienvilla. Dieses sehr interessante Haus beherbergt zwei Flügel, eine eigene Bibliothek und viele Familienfotos. Die ehemaligen Bewohner schienen aufgrund dessen und vieler Eintrittskarten für Theater und Oper sehr gebildet und musikalisch zu sein, zudem lässt mich das Vorhandensein vieler ausländischer Münzen, Postkarten und Objekte (zum Beispiel indianische Holzmasken und orientalische Instrumente) schließen, dass diese viel reisten und/oder an fremder Kultur interessiert waren.
Das dort lebende Kind war wohl gehbehindert, denn es existierten einige Prothesen und Orthesen, in Kindergröße.
