Without transfer - there have been direct flights from Hanover, Hahn, Munich and Stuttgart to destinations in Northern Sweden for 15 years now.

In the summer months the sun never seems to set. In winter it only shows 3-5 hours before darkness returns.
During these months it doesn’t stay light for long in Lapland but you’ll be sure to see the Northern Lights.

Day 34 - From Umeå to a village south of Sundsvall
Hitchhiking Around the World in 80 Days: My last car of the day was my luckiest car of this trip. I was picked up by Jonas, who invited me to his summer home where I met his entire family: wife, 3 daughters, 3 dogs and 1 cat. :)
