In this video we are exploring Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site/Park in Hodgenville, Kentucky, USA
Abraham Lincoln was a President of the United States. President Lincoln was the 16th person to take the position.
This site is called the Lincoln birthplace because it was the site where Abraham Lincoln was born. There is a cabin onsite where he was born.
We went on several hiking trails here as well including the boundary oak trail, the sinking spring and the big sink trail.

Landscape Photography USA - Planning and Travelling
This is the first episode in my Photographing USA series. I'll be share my thoughts on how to plan and travel for a landscape photography adventure.

Planning a 40 days trip to USA is no small task. It’s years of accumulated inspiration and experience, which lays the foundation for such a journey.
First off, the main reason I wanted to go was to visit and photograph some of the most breathtaking nature in the world. I’ve spend the last years watching a lot of 500px, Instagram and other sources for photography and over time you keep seeing certain locations reappearing in the different feeds. You start to sort out what you like and what is less cool. When I see a picture or location I like I always try to find out where it is. After writing down in my notes and finding the different locations on google maps, the next question is transportation.
For me the dilemma of my photographytours has been to hit the right spot between comfort and being practical. On the first tour I went on in Iceland I booked hotels, motels and guesthouses from home and brought a car from Denmark and followed a planned route around the country. On the next tour to Iceland I rented a normal car and went for camping so I wasn’t bound to certain geographical places and on the last I hired a car up there again, but went for accommodation in motels and guesthouses.
For a 40 days trip in the US it’s simply too much of planning to book hotels for each night, when the main focus is landscape photography. In landscape photography the weather dictates your choices, so you don’t want to be bound for the same place for long, if the weather is simply not on your side. Neither do you want to be stuck when travelling from one place to another, if you could easily drive those extra 200km in one day and catch the sunrise the next morning. If you go with the tent solution there’s the risk of rain, which doesn’t work well with camera equipment. When it came down to it, there was really just one solution – hire a mini RV. We ended up choosing Jucy RV rentals because they gave me the best offer and was willing to work with me in return for me taking a few pictures and making a video for them.
We’ve been thrilled with Jucy! Over such a long period you can’t help but develop a relationship with the car. Giving it up in the end of the journey was really hard – it’s just one of those times, where you absolutely don’t want to go home.
Jucy as a company respond fast per e-mail and offer great service. But when that is said, I’ll always recommend you to buy the insurance – you never know when something unforeseen happens, like someone breaking into your car and steals your computer and luggage. Because of the insurance and the fact that we reported the break-in the same evening, we got e-mailed a number for our policereport the following morning, which we could easily hand over to Jucy. Within an hour of delivering the old car we were on the road again with a new one. Which is also the reason why the car changes color in this video.
I’ve learned about these RV solutions from YouTube videos and I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first, but it really did turn out to be the best decision. The amount of freedom in combination with comfort is surprising. There’s plenty of space if you’re of average size, the fact that you don’t have to take down and put up a tent each day makes everything a lot easier. You just have to park the car and flip out the bed. In the US you don’t have as much freedom as in Iceland. You’re more bound to campgrounds and RV-parks since you just can’t park and sleep in the side of the road, but with a mini-RV you can usually get away with paying the lowest price in the campgrounds. You have to be aware of the season you’re travelling too. Finding a free campground was pretty easy out of season, but I bet you’ll have to book at least a day in advance in high season.
In regard to the car. It comes with everything beside a toilet. The kitchen comes with a sink, a fridge, cupboards, a small stove and light – it’s very practical and thought through. Within the car you have a small table and room for at least four people to sit down. You can easily unfold the bed if you remove the table. Underneath the bed there’s room for storage. What I valued a lot was the amount of electricity. There’s five slots for charging, which is invaluable when you’re a photographer.

Where to RV boondock for free on public lands
This is part two in a series.
In part one of this series, Dave Helgeson discussed the basics of RV boondocking. In this segment he narrows in on how to boondock with an RV on public lands including where they are and how to find them. Even veteran boondockers will learn some valuable tricks here about where to stay away from the crowds of RV parks, and in most cases for free, not $30, $40, $50 or even more a night for a space in a congested RV park.

Driving from Lexington, KY to Louisville, KY via I64
On day 3, I drove to Indianapolis, Indiana. But first, I went to Louisville and Cincinnati, Ohio. This is part one of that day.
My Sony HXR-NX100 rode shotgun on a tripod shooting at 4 fps. The tripod was held in place using bungee cords giving it I nice smooth feel, even on bumpy roads. I also used this same camera to shoot various scenes around the country, and to interview folks.
