Of course, the locals will know the best restaurants in Pasadena, but those that are visiting will turn to personal recommendations as well as turning to sites like Eater LA, Pasadena Weekly and Yelp for suggestions. Like other cities, there are hole-in-the-walls, hidden gems, chain restaurants and swanky high-end places to eat in Pasadena. If you run out of places, then turn to neighboring cities like South Pasadena, Arcadia, San Gabriel, Alhambra and more.
When it comes to food and finding the right place to eat, it's all about what you're in the mood for. Pasadena has restaurants of all types from burger and fries to prime rib or sushi. Of course, you can choose by origin of food like the popular ethnic varietals of Chinese restaurants, Mexican restaurants, Italian restaurants, Indian restaurants and even Thai restaurants if you want something a little different and spicy. From seafood to fast food restaurants, Pasadena has it all.
Another thing that people value when it comes to eating venues is proximity to their current location and just want to know what restaurants near me right now are good or top-rated. There are different areas of Pasadena from Old Town, Paseo Colorado to the Playhouse District, East Pasadena, Lake Ave., Green St. and even South Pasadena. Doing a quick search or using a foodie app may yield the best results if you're from out of town. Are you looking for a quick, healthy snack or a nice pub / bar for a drink and bar food? Narrowing down what you're in the mood for will help you in choosing the best food spots when it comes to Pasadena restaurants, cafes and bars.
