SCUBA FAIL IN BALI! Pemuteran - Indonesia
Part 2 of our month long trip to Indonesia during 2016.
This video shows us taking the ferry from Java to Bali spending a few days scuba diving in the north west coast of Bali - at and around Pemuteran & Menjangan Island.
We prefer not to use any organised tours and travel independently where possible. We usually have a solid plan on where to go but the itinerary is never fixed and we take it a day or so at a time.
Please keep in mind that when I shot the footage the plan was never to make a YouTube video but I figured that perhaps this is a good start to get into it.
Sometime towards the end of 2018 we plan to start travelling full-time and will thus be working towards regular uploads and would focus on providing more useful content to viewers on how to travel independently - as well as share our adventures! Hopefully by then our equipment will be a bit better - everything in this video was shot with compacts and a GoPro.
The story goes like this: Our travels (stretching well over 10 years) have been haphazardly documented thus far with some still only living on our old blog (which haven’t seen much use in a long time). Slowly we’ve moved to video but as yet most of our compilations was never made with public viewing in mind..
We hope to use this channel to dust off and bring some of our old travel videos to a wider audience over time. Thanks for joining us on our adventure!

A crossing of the island of Bali from West to East on 120 km between Pemuteran and Kintamani with a stop at the traditional local market of Singaraja, the former administrative capital of Bali and for culminating the magnificent waterfalls of Sekumpul.
Pemuteran is a small fishing village on the northern coast of West Bali.
This is a small laid-back village which has become increasingly popular with visitors in recent years. There are a number of waterfront resorts and its proximity to Lovina and West Bali National Park together with the extreme natural beauty of the area, has fuelled quite rapid growth in tourism infrastructure in the area.
Pemuteran is home to the largest artificial Biorock reef project in the world and there is a real spirit of marine conservation effort in this area.

Kintamani is a highland area in the north of East Bali.
The area of north-eastern Bali at the Mount Batur caldera, and which encompasses Penelokan, Toya Bungkah, Batur, Kedisan, Abung, Songan and Kintamani villages, is known widely as just Kintamani. Kintamani, Batur and Penelokan villages sit on the rim of the huge Batur caldera about 1,500m above sea level, and offer dramatic views of the active volcano Mount Batur and serene Lake Batur. Toyo Bungkah village is down at the lake edge.
As well as the lake and the volcano, Kintamani is home to Pura Ulun Danu Batur, one of Bali's key nine directional temples.
A note from C.Bali (see: Other things to do in this area) The people of this area are very traditional Balinese, please show the upmost respect to the people by not walking on their farm lands, entering their temples (unless you wish to pray). Woman should cover their legs to the knees. The people of this area are warm and friendly when visitors to this amazing area show them respect.

Singaraja is the largest city in North Bali, and the former colonial administrative capital of not only Bali, but the whole of the Lesser Sunda Islands..
Singaraja still has some of the feel of an old colonial capital. The streets are wider and grander than elsewhere in Bali and some of the old houses set in large gardens recall days long gone. Singaraja just looks different from other towns and cities in Bali. This is also a noticeably multi ethnic city. The Arabic influence is especially apparent in the district near the old docks called Kampung Arab and the largest Chinese temple in Bali is here.

Vamos a darle la vuelta a Bali y vamos a ver casi toda la Isla. Y la vamos a descubrir juntos.
BALI es una de las islas de Indonesia con mayor interés turístico y también una de las más bonitas para nosotros.
En esta ocasión tenemos tres paradas muy bonitas:
1.- Playa de Pemuteran. Proyecto BIOROCK, Proyecto creado para la recuperación de Coral, debido a la pesca con dinamita que se ha ido realizando años atrás.
2.- Templo BRAHAMA VIHARA ARAMA, Imponente TEMPLO Budista, con estatuas mágicas e impresionantes Tulipas. Uno de los pocos templos Budista de toda Bali, su visita es inolvidable.
3.- HOLY HOT SPRING BALI, Termas Naturales de Bali. En Bali podemos encontrar muchas de estas termas pero esta es una bastante bonita con tres piscinas grandes. En el video no podemos verlas con claridad ya que se nos hizo de noche, pero recomendamos su visita para los demás viajeros.
Estamos muy contentos de seguir enseñando esta ruta que recomendamos 100% a todo el mundo que tenga oportunidad de hacerla.

Gili Putih is a tiny island without inhabitant, located in the area of Sumber Kima, Pemuteran, Bali. The trip is on the second day on our Pemuteran trip and we left early from our hotel to this unique place. We took a small boat from Sumber Kima port and it took us only 10 minutes to reach the island. The island is covered with white sand. So amazing and incredible.
