Cluny Abbey is a former Benedictine monastery in Cluny, Saône-et-Loire, France. It was dedicated to St Peter. The abbey was constructed in the Romanesque architectural style, with three churches built in succession from the 4th to the early 12th centuries. The earliest basilica was the world's largest church until the St. Peter's Basilica construction began in Rome.Cluny was founded by William I, Duke of Aquitaine in 910. The Saline Royale is a historical building at Arc-et-Senans in the department of Doubs, eastern France. It is next to the Forest of Chaux and about 35 kilometers from Besançon. The architect was Claude-Nicolas Ledoux , a prominent Parisian architect of the time. The work is an important example of an early Enlightenment project in which the architect based his design on a philosophy that favored arranging buildings according to a rational geometry and a hierarchical relation between the parts of the project. The Institut Claude-Nicolas Ledoux has taken on the task of conservator and is managing the site as a monument. UNESCO added the Salines Royales to its List of World Heritage Sites in 1982. Retromobile 2019 - Le salon des voitures anciennes

La 44ème édition du salon Rétromobile a fermé ses portes le dimanche 10 février. Cinq jours durant, les passionnés de voitures anciennes ont déambulé dans les allées du Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles à Paris pour admirer quelques-uns des plus beaux bijoux automobile.

De ce millésime, nous retiendrons notamment la belle collection de McLaren alignée sur le stand de Richard Mille, les célébrations des 100 ans de Citroën et Bentley, les 40 ans de la première victoire du moteur turbo en F1 avec Renault ou encore la présence de l’improbable Berliet T100.

De son côté, Peter Auto avait donné rendez-vous à tous les partenaires, concurrents, collectionneurs, exposants et spectateurs… Nous les remercions chaleureusement d’avoir répondu présent en nombre. Le stand aux couleurs de Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille a séduit les visiteurs qui pouvaient y contempler une Ballot 3/8LC et une McLaren F1 GTR.

All aboard the disaster train to Milan - VLOG 6

Everything that could go wrong did go wrong on this leg of the journey from Paris to Milan. From missed train connections to having no hotel reservation (whoops)... Luckily for us Hotel Chateau Monfort in Milan came to our rescue with a last minute room and loads of complimentary food and wine (a sure fire way to my heart).

If you are staying in Milan I highly recommend these guys very friendly staff and an amazing experience!
