Wondering Where To Go In The Caribbean? Why You Should Visit Guadeloupe!

Wondering where to go in the Caribbean? Recently I got to visit Guadeloupe on a solo female road trip, and it was absolutely unforgettable.

First of all, driving on the solo road trip was easy, as the islands have a great infrastructure and well-marked roads. Additionally, when I was lost or needed help -- which did happen -- locals seemed more than happy to help, despite the language barrier.

The best part about visiting these French Caribbean Islands, in my opinion, is the scenery, much of which can be explored through active adventures like paddle boarding, snorkeling, visiting beaches, hiking through national parkland and more.

Some of my favorite things to do on my Guadeloupe vacation included trekking in Guadeloupe National Park, hiking the Trece Des Felices from Porte d’Efner, taking in the views from Pointe de la Grande Vigie, exploring beautiful beaches like Plage de Grande-Anse and Plage Petit-Havre, and more!

Il s'agit d'une commune située sur l'île de Basse-Terre, en Guadeloupe.

Aussi, laissez-vous tenter par les délicieux plats de An Ba Rézen La, tellement bon qu’on y est retournées deux fois durant le séjour !
Au menu : accras de morue, brochettes de bœuf grillées, suprêmes de volaille au coco, steak de thon grillé, gratin de bananes plantain et sauce créole !

The town is located on the island of Basse-Terre, in Guadeloupe.

Also, we know you will love the amazing dishes of An Ba Rézen La, they are so delicious that we came back twice during our stay! On the menu: cod fritters, skewers of grilled beef, chicken sauce with coconut, grilled Tuna steak, plantain gratin and creole sauce!

La plage du Souffleur et ses nombreux atouts n'auront aucun mal a vous charmer.
Une eau cristalline, un sable blanc et fin, de nombreux emplacements ombragés, un petit bout de récif pour les amateurs de snorkeling, un accès très facile, des sanitaires et douches et un magnifique panorama sur les montagnes du nord de la Basse-Terre.

Memorial ACTe (musée) - Pointe-à-Pitre - Guadeloupe

Petite vidéo de l'extérieur du Mémorial, filmer à l'intérieur étant strictement interdit. La vue est à couper le souffle et l'architecture du bâtiment est très réussie. Le musée en lui même vaut la visite, davantage centrée sur l'esclavage en générale que sur la traite négrière. La dernière partie parle de personnalité qui ont lutée contre l'esclavage ou la haine et de l'esclavage moderne (kidnapping, tourisme sexuel, vente d'organes...)
