Pimampiro, also Pimampiru, is the seat of Pimampiro Canton, Imbabura Province, Ecuador. The city is located at an elevation of 2,163 metres . It had a population of 8,192 in the 2001 census and 9,077 in 2010.The city of Pimampiro is located about 21 kilometres east of Ibarra the capital city of Imbabura province.

Cuicocha is a 3 km wide caldera and crater lake at the foot of Cotacachi Volcano in the Cordillera Occidental of the Ecuadorian Andes. Its name comes from the Kichwa indigenous language and means Lago del Cuy or Guinea Pig Laguna in English. It was given this name due to the guinea pig shape of the largest Island in the middle of the laguna. These animals play a significant part in the everyday life of Ecuadorians, as they reproduce rapidly and need a minimum of food and care to survive. Cayambe or Volcán Cayambe is a volcano in Ecuador, in the Cordillera Central, a range of the Ecuadorian Andes. It is located in Pichincha Province, some 70 km northeast of Quito. It is the third-highest mountain in Ecuador, at an elevation of 5,790 m above sea level. Cayambe, which has a permanent snow cap, is a Holocene compound volcano which last erupted in March 1786. At 4,690 metres on its south slope is the highest point in the world crossed by the Equator, and the only point on the Equator with snow cover. The volcano and most of its slopes are within the Cayambe Coca Ecological Reserve. Cayambe was first climbed by British adventurer Edward Whymper and his two Italian guides and companions Jean-Antoine Carrel and Louis Carrel in 1880, and it remains a favorite of mountaineers today...

Die Intag-Region ist eine der sichersten Orte für Touristen in ganz Ecuador. Die Hauptsprache ist Spanisch, Englisch wird nur von wenigen Menschen gesprochen, Deutsch fast gar nicht. Die Temperaturen schwanken ganzjährig zwischen 12 und 33 Grad Celsius – je nach Höhenlage. Malaria ist im Intag-Tal praktisch unbekannt, insbesondere nicht über 1.500 Meter Höhe. Trockenzeit ist in der Regel von September bis Juni, Regenzeit von Oktober bis Ende Mai – aber lassen Sie sich nicht durch die Regenfälle abschrecken!

Location: Das Pacheco-Farmhouse liegt im Norden Ecuadors, westlich von Otavalo an der Via Intag km 60 Apuela, 100351 Peñaherrera in Ecuador. Das Hostel bietet Unterkünfte mit einem Garten und kostenfreiem WLAN. Die Zimmer beinhalten ein amerikanisches Frühstück, das man sogar in veganer Variante bestellen kann. Die Straße durch das Intag-Tal ist allerdings nicht in Höchstgeschwindigkeit zu befahren, da sollte man schon etwas Zeit einplanen. Hier kann man auch fragen, wie man zum Wasserfall mit M kommt;)

La casa del árbol y su columpio en el Fin del Mundo, se encuentra en Baños de Agua Santa en Ecuador a 2600 metros sobre el nivel del mar, con una hermosa vista donde se puede ver al volcán Tungurahua, pues este lugar es una estación de monitoreo sísmico, ya que el volcán ha estado activo desde el año 1999.
El lugar ofrece lugares para el esparcimiento familiar y actividades incluyendo columpios que da impresión que se encuentra en un acantilado, o el columpio extremo que te hará drenar adrenalina a montón. Y en general, Baños de agua Santa es uno de esos lugares que deberías conocer antes de morir.
