ABOUT MAIPO VALLEY
Maipo Valley is the closest Chilean wine region to Santiago, the capital city of Chile. It extends eastwards from the city to the Andes and westward to the coast, stretching south toward the towns and subzones of Padre Hurtado, Peñaflor, Talagante, Isla de Maipo and Melipilla.
The valley includes over 7,302 acres of vineyards, more than half of which are dedicated to producing Cabernet Sauvignon or Cabernet blends. It is a historic wine-producing region and the birthplace of the Chilean wine industry, with vines growing there for the past 150 years.
The Maipo Valley can be divided in three sub-regions: Alto Maipo, Central Maipo, and Pacific Maipo.

Santiago, Chile’s capital and largest city, sits in a valley surrounded by the snow-capped Andes and the Chilean Coast Range. Within meters of a year long running creek, the house is surrounded by wildlife and vegetation. A very large covered outdoor area connects the house to the edge of the creek creating a tranquil environment to relax and
meditate in the open. All vegetation is native and there is a beautiful sculpture shaped tree that graces the property which is over a 100 yrs old. The property itself is on a dead end and completely private!
Unique Features
An indoor/outdoor kitchen providing a place for all occasions is integrated between a covered living area and the interior of the home. A solar system installed on the roof creates hot water lowering electricity bills. The house
contains a seating area for every mood! The 1.5 bedroom can be converted into a fully private bedroom within the house itself.
Location
Located at the end of Calle Alvarado in Atenas, the location of the house is privately tucked away. Atenas is within 10 minutes walking and is one of the most desirable places to live in Central America with a temperate climate,
low crime, abundant restaurants, parks, weekend markets and possessing a spanish charm that makes living here even more enjoyable. Atenas is 30 minutes to Santa Ana, the airport and 1 hr. from the ocean.
