Welcome to Dickson Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas
The 5th best place to live in the country might surprise you. In fact, you might not have heard of Fayetteville, AR, but you’ll be glad you have now. Despite being the 3rd largest city in Arkansas, its 83,000 residents mean it doesn't feel huge and can maintain a quirky vibe.
Dickson Street is the main vein of the city, where you’ll find unique spots—like Dickson Street Bookshop, with a rare book collection dating back 300 years. Craft brew, artisan coffee, and live music are all part of the city’s pulse. And they’ve just become one of only a few dozen cities in the nation (and the first in the state) to pass a 100% renewable energy pledge. Fayetteville is set to have 100% community-wide clean energy by 2050. Hoorah!

5 Must See Stops In Arkansas: Just a tank of gas and 5 FREE sites you have to see!
Traveling across any state you can find so many interesting things to do if you just take the time to look. On my trip across Arkansas I stopped off at a civil war site, a historic land purchase monument in the middle of the swamp, beautiful murals telling a the story of one city, an ancient cultural center and the longest pedestrian bridge in the US. All sites ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!
You can get a lot of bang for your buck when you simply look around you and have a little gas in your tank. Come check out these sites and more as I travel from Texas to DC and back on this journey!!

Pedestal Rocks Scenic Area - Arkansas
On day 4 of our Arkansas Adventure we go hiking at Pedestal Rock Scenic Area. The trail follows this set of bluffs around so there is ample opportunity for good fun! Then we head off for Sam's Throne to do a little outdoor bouldering. It was a little bit windy for the drone but the Spark is always a champ and can fight any wind.
