20 Things to do in Rome, Italy Travel Guide Video Transcript: (ROMA)
Rome, the Eternal City. After several trips to Italy, we finally managed to visit our biggest oversight: the capital! From wandering through Roman ruins to devouring pizza, and climbing up lookout points to feasting on gelato, in this travel guide, we’re going to share with you 20 things to do in Rome, Italy:
We reached Roscioli which was the best pizza in Rome. Pizzas are served by the weight and we sampled 7 different pizza slices.
We stopped at Largo di Torre Argentina an archaeological site home to four different temples containing parts of the portico of Pompey.
It was a short walk to the Pantheon, a former Roman temple turned church, which dates back to the year 125 AD. The Pantheon boasted the world’s largest cupola up until the 15th century, and it is still the largest unreinforced concrete dome in existence to this day making it one of the greatest architectural achievements by the ancient Romans.
If you want to find the best gelato, look for colours that are muted with small batches.
One of the many things to do in Rome, was to visit the Trevi Fountain. This is the largest Baroque fountain in the city.
Rome’s most famed attraction is the Colosseum and its surrounding ruins. We started our visit on Palatine Hill, the most central of Rome's seven hills. What visitors see today are the ruins of the Palace of Domitian, a 1st-century complex, which served as the main imperial palace for 300 years. We continued to the Roman Forum. This square was the centre of ancient Roman life, with government buildings, temples, and markets. We reached the Colosseum, which was the largest amphitheatre ever built and could hold an estimated 50,000 and 80,000 spectators.
Walking through the Vatican Museum was more overwhelming than enjoyable. We visited Vatican City to climb St. Peter’s Basilica for views of Rome.
Castel Sant’Angelo was commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family.
Villa Borghese is the 3rd largest public park in Rome with gardens, villas, and ponds with views of the city overlooking Piazza del PO-polo, the people’s square.
That concludes our tour of Rome showcasing the many things to do in Rome on your own trip.

Places to see in ( Spoleto - Italy )
Places to see in ( Spoleto - Italy )
Spoleto is a city in Umbria, Italy. It’s surrounded by hills, olive groves and vineyards. Dating from the 12th century, Spoleto Cathedral has a porticoed facade embellished by a mosaic. Inside is a cycle of frescoes by the medieval artist Filippo Lippi. The National Archaeological Museum complex displays items from the Bronze Age and Roman times. It also includes the restored Roman Theater.
Presided over by a formidable medieval fortress and backed by the broad-shouldered Apennines, their summits iced with snow in winter, Spoleto is visually stunning. The hill town is also something of a historical picnic: the Romans left their mark in the form of grand arches and an amphitheatre; and the Lombards made it the capital of their duchy in 570, building it high and mighty and leaving it with a parting gift of a Romanesque cathedral in the early 13th century. Today, the town has winged its way into the limelight with its mammoth Spoleto Festival (Festival dei Due Mondi) a 17-day summer feast of opera, dance, music and art.
Spoleto (Latin Spoletium) is an ancient city in the Italian province of Perugia in east-central Umbria on a foothill of the Apennines. It is 20 km (12 mi) S. of Trevi, 29 km (18 mi) N. of Terni, 63 km (39 mi) SE of Perugia; 212 km (132 mi) SE of Florence; and 126 km (78 mi) N of Rome. Spoleto was situated on the eastern branch of the Via Flaminia, which forked into two roads at Narni and rejoined at Forum Flaminii, near Foligno. An ancient road also ran hence to Nursia. The Ponte Sanguinario of the 1st century BC still exists. The Forum lies under today's marketplace. Located at the head of a large, broad valley, surrounded by mountains, Spoleto has long occupied a strategic geographical position. It appears to have been an important town to the original Umbri tribes, who built walls around their settlement in the 5th century BC, some of which are visible today.
Under the empire it seems to have flourished once again, but is not often mentioned in history. Martial speaks of its wine. Aemilianus, who had been proclaimed emperor by his soldiers in Moesia, was slain by them here on his way from Rome (AD 253), after a reign of three or four months. Rescripts of Constantine (326) and Julian (362) are dated from Spoleto. The foundation of the episcopal see dates from the 4th century: early martyrs of Spoleto are legends, but a letter to the bishop Caecilianus, from Pope Liberius in 354 constitutes its first historical mention. Owing to its elevated position Spoleto was an important stronghold during the Vandal and Gothic wars; its walls were dismantled by Totila.
The Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of the Two Worlds) was founded in 1958. Because Spoleto was a small town, where real estate and other goods and services were at the time relatively inexpensive, and also because there are two indoor theatres, a Roman theatre and many other spaces, it was chosen by Gian Carlo Menotti as the venue for an arts festival. It is also fairly close to Rome, with good rail connections. It is an important cultural event, held annually in late June-early July.
The Roman theater, largely rebuilt. The stage is occupied by the former church of St. Agatha, currently housing the National Archaeological Museum. Ponte Sanguinario (bloody bridge), a Roman bridge 1st century BCE. restored Roman house with mosaic floors, indicating it was built in the 1st century, and overlooked the Forum Square.
Ponte delle Torri, a striking 13th-century aqueduct, The majestic Rocca Albornoziana fortress, built in 1359–1370 by the architect Matteo Gattapone of Gubbio for Cardinal Albornoz. The Palazzo Racani-Arroni (16th century) has a worn graffito decoration attributed to Giulio Romano. Palazzo della Signoria (14th century), housing the city's museum. The majestic Palazzo Vigili (15th-16th centuries) includes the Torre dell'Olio (13th century), the sole mediaeval city tower remaining in Spoleto. Temple of Clitumnus lies between Spoleto and Trevi
( Spoleto - Italy ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Spoleto . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Spoleto - Italy

10 Things to do in Kotor, Montenegro Travel Guide Video Transcript: (Котор)
Good morning friends. We have made it to Montenegro. We're in Kotor (Котор) right by the water we're staying in the Old Town. We've been here a few days and it has been raining non-stop just like it was in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Like the first half of the week it just poured but now it is nice. We can't wait to explore this city so join us as we make a little travel guide.
If there’s one thing that had caught our attention upon arriving in Kotor (Cattaro), it was the fortifications that not only encircle the old town but also run all the way up into the mountain, so a hike up to Kotor Fortress was the first stop on our itinerary.
As a tip, we would say the best time to hike up to Kotor Fortress is in the morning because the path is shaded. This isn’t a huge consideration if you’re visiting in winter like we did, but definitely something to keep in mind if you visit in the summer.
The Cathedral of St Tryphon was built in honor of the patron saint and protector of the city, on the very same spot where an older church had already stood long ago. We paid our admission and went in to visit the cathedral’s very own museum.
After walking along part of the city walls, we stopped by the Sea Gate, which is the third entrance into the Old Town. As soon as you walk through here you’re met with a clock tower and a big square that’s encircled by restaurants and lots of little lanes that break away - basically it’s a great place to wander.
And now we want to show you one more restaurant that we enjoyed in Kotor (Cattaro). This one was called Cesarica and they specialized in seafood.
Lastly, if you want to enjoy a little evening stroll, the Port of Kotor is a beautiful place. Not only can you enjoy the city all lit up at night, but if you happen to be there on a day when the cruise ship pulls into town, it’s worth sticking around to watch it manoeuvre its way.
And that concludes our visit to Kotor (Котор). We hope you guys enjoyed following along and we’ll see you in the next video where we visit the neighbouring coastal town of Budva.

Best Pizza in Naples, Italy Travel Food Video Transcript:
We have just arrived here in Naples and we are in town on a mission. Our mission is simple. To eat as much pizza as possible. Pizza was my favorite food growing up and we are visiting Naples the birthplace of pizza (Neapolitan pizza). We've got two days here. Our goal is to try and hit up five different pizzerias. We've searched the best of the best. We're going to visit them all and then we're going to rank them and let you know what our favorite one is. Let's eat pizza.
We are now approaching our first pizzeria of the day. It is just down the street. We're going to be eating at L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele. It is one of the most famous pizzerias in the whole city because they filmed a scene of Eat, Pray, Love here with Julia Roberts when she comes to Naples to devour pizza.
We're going to be ordering two kinds of pizza. We are planning to go for the margherita and marinara.
Wow! Is one way to describe that pizza experience. So it was delicious. It was amazing. It was huge. It was crowded.
It is time for our second pizza of the day. We have come to Port'Alba which has the distinction of being one of the oldest pizzerias in all of Naples. This one dates back to 1738.
Third pizzeria here in Naples and right now yes we're at Di Matteo. There is a huge crowd. At Di Matteo they are really popular for their street food. Like street pizza. We got a fried pizza and I got al forno which is in the oven - basically a folded margherita. Calling it portafoglio because it has been folded in four.
Pizza number 2 at Di Matteo was the fried variety. Pizza frita. It cost 1.50 Euros.
This is our forth pizzeria here in Naples called El Pizzeria Dal Presidente. We ordered the pizza margherita and a fried one with salami, pomodoro and two kinds of cheese.
We are at pizza place five of five at a place called La Cantina Dei Mille right by the train station.
We are feeling pretty stuffed. 10 pizzas in 2 days. That is a lot of pizza.
That was an insane pizza taste test in Naples. We got to try the best pizzas in the whole city (pizza Napoletana) and that makes me happy because I love pizza. We hope you guys enjoyed following along on this pizza adventure in Naples (pizza Napoletana). Ciao.

Places to see in ( Venice - Italy ) Chiesa della Madonna dell'Orto
Places to see in ( Venice - Italy ) Chiesa della Madonna dell'Orto
The Madonna dell'Orto is a church in Venice, Italy, in the sestiere of Cannaregio. The church was erected by the now-defunct religious order the Humiliati in the mid-14th century, under the direction of Tiberio da Parma, who is buried in the interior. It was initially dedicated to St. Christopher, patron saint of travellers, but its popular name suggesting consecration to Holy Virgin comes from the following century, when an allegedly miraculous statue of the Madonna, commissioned for the Church of S. Maria Formosa but rejected, was brought to the Church from the nearby orchard (orto in Italian) where it had languished.
The church lay on weak foundations and in 1399 a restoration project was financed by the city's Maggior Consiglio. The Humiliati, due to their depraved customs, were ousted in 1462 and the Madonna dell'Orto was assigned to the congregation of Canons Regular of San Giorgio in Alga. The latter order was suppressed in 1668, and the following year the Church and convent annexed were handed over to Cistercians of Lombardy. In 1787 the church came under public administration. Restoration was begun under Austrian rule in the 1840s and finished in 1869, by which time Venice had become part of the unified Kingdom of Italy.
The façade, built in 1460–1464, has sloping sides and is in brickwork, divided in three parts by two pilasters strips. The two side sections have quadruple mullioned windows, while the central has a large rose window. The portal is surmounted by a pointed arch with white stone decorations portraying, on the summit, St. Christopher, the Madonna and the Archangel Gabriel by Nicolò di Giovanni Fiorentino and Antonio Rizzo. Under is a tympanum, in porphyry, supported by circular pilaster strips. The whole is included into a porch with Corinthian columns.
The interior has a nave and two aisles, with double-framed pointed arches supported by Greek marble columns. The transept is absent, while in the rear is a pentagonal apse decorated by paintings by Jacobo Robusti, known as Tintoretto, who is buried here. The organ over the entrance was built in 1878, and is one of the most powerful in Venice.
( Venice - Italy ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Venice . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Venice - Italy
