3 places to see in KZN - (#ILoveSA Ep. 24)
On this episode of I love SA we experience traditional, authentic, Zulu culture just half an hour from Durban. From the ancient and fascinating Rastafarian Caves to the most authentic Zulu experiences and scenery of the Mznyathi falls. Keep watching as we uncover these spots in KZN.
1. Rasta Caves The Mzinyathi Gorge is home to the “Rastafarian Caves, These caves are home to a community of Rastafarians. Green Corridor Tours took us on a tricky hidden part to the natural rock caves. Learn about the Rastafarian people, their religion as well as view the Rastafarian temple, caves and rock houses (which they live in) as years old Ethiopian writing.
2. Mznyathi Falls
After an enlightening cultural experience, green corridors took us to the he Mzinyathi River which plunges down a beautiful sandstone amphitheater, over 100 m into the Mzinyathi gorge. Towering cliffs and thick forests make for an incredible day out. This is also a very popular rock climbing spot and after heavy rains, the falls are a truly impressive sight.
3. Inanda Mountains
The views are simply staggering, arguably the best outlook anywhere in Durban. The top of Inanda Mountain covered with clouds on some cold mountains add to the picturesque view. This is also an amazing bird watching site, especially in late morning when birds of prey catch the thermals off the cliff face and glide up right in front of you.

The beaches are just one of the things that make the South Coast great. Here is a quick look at the beaches in and around Margate on the KZN South Coast. Includes Southbroom, Ramsgate and St Michaels.

Awesome KZN! - (#ILoveSA Ep. 10)
The deep valley of the Umzimkulwana River is one of the most spectacularly scenic areas of Kwazulu-Natal. Known as the Oribi Gorge, this haven for nature lovers and thrill seekers is located just over 20 km inland from Port Shepstone, on the Natal South Coast
The wild 5 adventures have loads of activities from Abseiling to white water rafting but what interested us was the Wild Swing!
The suspension bridge is also popular, it has a a magnificent view although if you are scared of heights this might not be for you.
Last stop was the leopards rock restaurant which overlooks the umzimkulu river and is a relaxing spot to have lunch and do some bird watching.

A Holidaymaker's Guide to South Africa's Wild Coast
The weather's always good on the Wild Coast, and there's so much to explore - all the better when you're on foot!
You can do a river mouth hopping up and down the coast, or nestle yourself in an isolated hamlet like Hluleka Nature Reserve or Umngazi River Mouth.
At the heart of the Wild Coast lies the pastures and beaches of Coffee Bay, where a certain rock marvel has been luring travellers to its shores for decades.
But what makes this stretch of coast especially unique is its people - where isiXhosa traditions are shared with visitors and help communities thrive through cultural tourism.
