Opal Creek and Three Pools - Oregon Swimming Hole Cliff Jumps - PNW Adventures
Opal Creek and Three pools are two of the best swimming hole areas in Oregon. They feature crystal clear emerald water and also some great medium sized cliff jumps ranging from 10' to 40' in height. We were there on a perfectly chilly, overcast, spring day and had the magical pools all to ourselves. The fact that the water temp of Opal Creek and Three Pools was 50 degrees also kept the crowds away!

Time Lapse: Portland, Maine through 5 States to Montréal, Québec
July 15, 2017 - They said it couldn't be done...but they were wrong!
In just six hours I traverse through five states (and one Canadian province)! Starting in Portland, Maine, I took the long way back to Montréal through New Hampshire, Massachusetts (at the very fringe of the Boston metro area), Vermont, and the northeast corner of New York state back to La Belle Province of Québec.
Along the way I take a few side trips to Old Orchard Beach, Maine; a few Fallout 4 references as I briefly touch upon the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; getting lost looking for lunch in White River Junction, Vermont; a quick drive-through of Burlington, the largest city in Vermont and stomping ground to Senator Bernie Sanders; and finally, visiting the lake monster Champ on the shores of Lake Champlain on the Vermont/New York border.
Once back in Canada on a beautiful Saturday evening, I pass through downtown Montréal, pay homage to my Montréal Canadiens of the NHL at their home arena, the Bell Centre, and then out west to Dorval, near the airport, for my final night away on this adventure.

Vancouver Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Vancouver’s breezes carry the scents of nature and aromas of all the urban delights you’d expect from a city regularly voted, “the Worlds most livable”.
The city takes its name from the British navigator who landed here in 1792. The original settlement was called “Gastown”, in honor of Gassy Jack, who built the city’s first tavern. Gassy Jack and his makeshift pub may be long gone, but in the historic neighborhood of Gastown, his spirit lingers on.
Vancouver’s early history continues at Waterfront Station, the western terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The railway’s construction brought Chinese workers by the thousands, whose descendants have enriched Vancouver ever since. Experience this interweaving of cultures in Chinatown, where the fusing of Oriental flavors with local seafood has helped earn the city the title, “the Culinary Capital of Canada.”
After visiting Vancouver’s central highlights, ride the ferry to Granville Island. Stock up on provisions at the Granville Island Public Market and sample craft ales at Granville Island Brewing. From Granville Island, head to Queen Elizabeth Park on Little Mountain, a peaceful oasis high above the city.
When it’s time to answer the call of the wild, cross the Lions Gate Bridge to The North Shore, a wilderness where bears roam and salmon-filled rivers flow through old-growth forests. Less than a two-hour drive from the city is Whistler Blackcomb Resort, the largest ski resort in North America. The beautifully connected runs here cater to all skill levels and attract elite skiers and beginners from all over the globe.
Denver, Colorado Travel Guide - Must-See Attractions
Denver is the largest city and the capital of the U.S. state of Colorado. Denver is also the second most populous county in Colorado after El Paso County. Denver is a consolidated city and county located in the South Platte River Valley on the western edge of the High Plains just east of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
The most important places to visit in Denver are: Rocky Mountains (located close to Denver, Rocky Mountains are one of the great mountain ranges of this planet offering an immersive experience with nature), The Colorado State Capitol Building (a highlight of the Denver skyline, it looks like the US Capitol Building. Its shining gold dome commemorates the Colorado gold rush), Denver City Hall (this beautiful city and county building was constructed in 1932. It is known for its grand display of lights during the Christmas season), Garden of the Gods (step outside the city and soak in this fascinating place. Massive rocks and unusual formations are sure to mesmerize you), Downtown (called the mile high city because of its closeness to Rocky Mountains, Denver downtown is a bustling commerce and cultural metropolis) and many more.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Denver travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

PORTLAND'S BEST KEPT SECRET! Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens.
Portland Oregon is one of the United States fastest growing cities, yet many new Oregonians, as well as many who have lived here there whole life still have no clue about this hidden gem.
Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens is a 10 acre garden located across the street from Reed College.
Portland's best kept secret has over 2,500 Rhododendrons, azaleas, and other plants.
The Gardens also have patches of shrubs, upland forest, marsh vegetation, and submerged logs.
Wild life, water fowl, and at least 94 species in the garden, including grebes, herons, ducks, Canada geese, wigeons, gulls, hummingbirds, and more.
The gardens are open from 6am to 10pm from April through September and from 6am through 6pm October through March.
Admission is only $5! and free Monday and Tuesdays, but I would check the website to make sure that hasn't changed.
