The Sierra de las Quijadas National Park is a national park located in the northwestern part of the Argentine province of San Luis. It was established on December 10, 1991, to protect the natural features, representative of the Semiarid Chaco and the Argentine Low Monte ecoregions.

4. Potrero de los Funes Potrero De Los Funes
The Lago Potrero de los Funes circuit is a race track originally constructed in 1987, and rebuilt in 2008. It is located 14 km from San Luis, capital city of the San Luis Province, Argentina. The circuit is semi-permanent, with a length of 6.27 km . It was created by modifying the ring road that encircles Lake Potrero de los Funes, at the course's center. The circuit has received very high praise from the drivers for its substantial undulations and numerous high speed corners and bends, which provide a great driving challenge. The track's layout has changed slightly from its original layout. It appears that the curve prior to where the pits are now was tightened to create a more pronounced corner ahead of the pits, and perhaps to reduce speeds on the racing line going past the new pit exit...

Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina, and the second-largest metropolitan area in South America, after Greater São Paulo. It is located on the western shore of the estuary of the Río de la Plata, on the continent's southeastern coast. The Greater Buenos Aires conurbation, which also includes several Buenos Aires Province districts, constitutes the third-largest conurbation in Latin America, with a population of around fifteen and a half million.
The city of Buenos Aires is neither part of Buenos Aires Province nor the Province's capital; rather, it is an autonomous district. In 1880, after decades of political infighting, Buenos Aires was federalized and removed from Buenos Aires Province.[6] The city limits were enlarged to include the towns of Belgrano and Flores; both are now neighborhoods of the city. The 1994 constitutional amendment granted the city autonomy, hence its formal name: Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires). Its citizens first elected a Chief of Government (i.e. Mayor) in 1996; before, the Mayor was directly appointed by the President of the Republic.
Buenos Aires is, along with Mexico City and São Paulo, one of the three Latin American cities considered an 'alpha city' by the study GaWC5. Buenos Aires has the third best quality of life of Latin American cities.[8] Buenos Aires' quality of life is ranked 81st in the world, with its per capita income among the three highest in the region. It is the most visited city in South America (ahead of Rio de Janeiro) and the second most visited city across Spanish Latin America (behind Mexico City). We started March in the Northern tip of Argentina in the tiny town of Iruya, in the Huamahuaca Canyon (Quebrada de Huamahuaca), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there we traveled to Purmamarca at the southern end of the canyon, known for it's mountain of 7 colors.From there we headed west, crossing the border into Chile over the Jama Pass (14,120 ft / 4320 m) and down to San Pedro de Atacama at the foot of the Andes.
After a week in San Pedro de Atacama we headed to the coastal city of Antofogasta to have some work done on our truck. In Antofagasta we made a side trip to the Paranal Observatory and the Mano del Desierto. After Antofagasta we returned to San Pedro de Atacama and the Atacama desert at. At the end of the month we left San Pedro de Atacama and headed to Iquique, further north on the Pacific coast, up the Pan-American Highway, as we worked our way north toward Peru which we will renter in mid-April.

Conheça Bariloche Argentina - Pontos TurísticosBariloche, cujo nome oficial é San Carlos de Bariloche, é uma cidade da Argentina, localizada na Província de Rio Negro, junto à Cordilheira dos Andes, na fronteira com o Chile. Ela está rodeada por lagos (Nahuel Huapi, Gutiérrez, Mascardi) e montanhas, como o Cerro Tronador (3354 m de altitude, na fronteira com o Chile), o Cerro Catedral (movimentada estação de esqui) e o Cerro López. A cidade possui cerca de 130 mil habitantes.
Bariloche está situada numa micro-zona climática e de vegetação de floresta temperada. Seu clima é temperado, influenciado pela proximidade dos Andes, e suas florestas se mantêm graças à abundância de água dos grandes lagos glaciais, como o Nahuel Huapi. No inverno (junho a agosto), as temperaturas caem abaixo de zero e a maior quantidade de neve nas montanhas mais altas dá início à temporada de esqui. Afastando-se poucos quilômetros para leste da cidade, porém, o clima se torna mais seco, surgindo a fria estepe da Patagônia, com sua vegetação de gramíneas cada vez mais esparsas, até que a paisagem se torna a de deserto.
A principal atividade econômica de Bariloche é o turismo. Além das montanhas onde se podem praticar esqui e snowboard (Cerros Catedral e Tronador) destacam-se o Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi, a travessia dos lagos andinos até o Chile, a Isla Victoria (no lago Nahuel Huapi), a região de El Bolsón (ao sul da cidade), a Colonia Suiza (em meio a bosques, na qual se situa um museu que conta a imigração suíça para a região) e os percursos turísticos chamados Circuito Chico e Circuito Grande, com paradas em vários pontos de onde se têm vistas panorâmicas dos bosques e montanhas ao redor da cidade. Seu comércio voltado para o turismo é principalmente de artigos de lã, couro e chocolates. Para os interessados em turismo de aventura, há opções de rafting, cavalgadas, parapente e ciclismo de montanha.
A cidade tem um aeroporto, o Aeroporto Internacional Teniente Luis Candelaria que está equipado para receber jatos, e opera voos domésticos e internacionais para países vizinhos. Por rodovia, fica a 1638 km ao sul da capital argentina, Buenos Aires. Liga-se ao Chile por rodovia (cerca de 130 km até a fronteira, e mais 115 km até a cidade chilena de Osorno), havendo a opção, para turistas, de travessia em percursos alternados entre barcos e ônibus, num passeio conhecido como Cruce de Lagos, até Puerto Montt.

Une journée à la Sierra de las Quijadas - Argentine - Tour du monde
Nous avons eu l'occasion de visiter ce magnifique parc naturel. Nous sommes restés bouche-bée dès notre arrivée devant l'immensité du canyon et ses couleurs éclatantes!!! Voici quelques images que nous avons prises lors de notre balade. A notre grand regret, pas vu d'animaux... :(Situé entre San Luis et San Juan, ce n'est pas moins de 70 000 ha qui sont mis en valeur. Différentes randonnées, avec et sans guide, sont proposées sur le canyon ainsi que dans ses entrailles. Par manque de temps et surtout une difficulté d'accès (nous sommes à pieds...) nous n'avons pu nous y rendre qu'une seule journée.
