Ptghni , is a village located in the Kotayk Province of Armenia along the left bank of the Hrazdan River. It was founded in 1831 in the vicinity of an abandoned dwelling. The village has a school, kindergarten, house of culture, and a library. The local economy is dependent on agriculture and local inhabitants primarily grow grapes, melons, gourds, and breed cattle. Within the village are the remains of fortress walls and Ptghavank of the 6th to 7th-century.

The Temple of Garni is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia and the former Soviet Union. An Ionic temple located in the village of Garni, Armenia, it is the best-known structure and symbol of pre-Christian Armenia. The structure was probably built by king Tiridates I in the first century AD as a temple to the sun god Mihr. After Armenia's conversion to Christianity in the early fourth century, it was converted into a royal summer house of Khosrovidukht, the sister of Tiridates III. According to some scholars it was not a temple but a tomb and thus survived the universal destruction of pagan structures. It collapsed in a 1679 earthquake. 4. The Monastery of Geghard Geghard
Geghard is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While the main chapel was built in 1215, the monastery complex was founded in the 4th century by Gregory the Illuminator at the site of a sacred spring inside a cave. The monastery had thus been originally named Ayrivank , meaning the Monastery of the Cave. The name commonly used for the monastery today, Geghard, or more fully Geghardavank , meaning the Monastery of the Spear, originates from the spear which had wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion, allegedly brought to Armenia by Apostle Jude, called here Thaddeus, and stored amongst many other relics. Mount Aragats is an isolated four-peaked volcano massif in Armenia. Its northern summit, at 4,090 m above sea level, is the highest point of the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia. It is also one of the highest points in the Armenian Highlands.The Aragats massif is surrounded by Kasagh River on the east, Akhurian River on the west, Ararat plain on the south and Shirak plain on the north. Travel Vlog Georgia Ushguli & Armenia Lake Sevan Dilijan Yerevan

After arriving in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, we drove to Lake Sevan, one of the largest lakes in the world. It stands out with its sweet and astonishingly blue water. Here we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of the beautiful lake and then visited Sevanavank Monastery which is situated on Sevan Peninsula. There are 2 monasteries actually; one of them is destroyed but the other stands still. They were built in the Middle Ages, around 10th century. We also visited Haghartsin monastery and toured around Dilijan. This trip was so wonderful and Yerevan was such a dazzling city at night.
