Adventures in Eastern Washington | Travel to Spokane and Quincy | Vlog 69 - Full Time Travel and RV Living
We explore Spokane and Quincy Washington and get to see an AMAZING fireworks show!
We explored the green bluff farm area north of Spokane and really had a good time. We particularly enjoyed Townshend Cellars wines! After that we crossed the bare desert of central Washington to stay in Quincy Washington. We stayed here because we were going on a tour of the Hanford site cleanup project (Video on that later) . We got to see a powerboat really on the Columbia River and it was so fun to watch the F18.... or maybe EA18's fly low through the gorge once or twice a day! While touring the quincy area we stumbled across a Farmer Consumer Awareness Day ( event going on where they were putting on a huge fireworks show that we greatly enjoyed. If you are in the area check out the show the second weekend in September, its really great!

BOSTON, EXPLORING the historic open-air HAYMARKET (MASSACHUSETTS, USA)
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to Haymarket, Boston's centuries-old outdoor market, which is located close to the Freedom Trail in the historic heart of Boston. Haymarket and the small brick-and-mortar food shops line up Blackstone Avenue and form a vibrant market district along with Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Boston Public Market.
Although sellers of fresh produce have clustered in the current-day Haymarket location since around 1830, merchants of various sorts started congregating in the general vicinity (probably closer to Faneuil Marketplace) as early as the 1600s.
At the edge of Haymarket, you'll find the elegant Millennium Bostonian Hotel, around the corner you can enjoy some of Boston's most historic pubs and restaurants, and just to the east is the Rose Kennedy Greenway, site of seasonal farmers' markets.
Of course, since Boston is quite compact, you're also surrounded by present-day skyscrapers, traffic, and trendy shops - but if you want to get a taste of old Boston plus the biggest produce bargains in town, Haymarket is the perfect place for anyone to begin his/hers explorations.

Quincy Place Mall in Ottumwa, IA, 2012 - Part 2
In January 2012, I traveled back to the Quincy Place Mall in Ottumwa, Iowa, to do an updated video showing how the mall looks now (2012). Several things have changed since my 2009 video. This video was filmed on January 24, 2012. Be sure to check out my new video showing how the mall looks today (2017), which you can watch here:
Some of the changes made to the mall after this 2012 video was filmed, as of 2017, include:
- Curves is now Anytime Fitness.
- Maurices and Vanity have updated their storefronts. Vanity has filed for bankruptcy and will be closing soon.
- The Garfield kiddie ride has been replaced with Thomas the Tank Engine - a good trade, lol!
- The former Sam Goody storefront is now Rue 21.
- Radio Shack is gone. Store is currently vacant.
- Fake trees in the center court by the JC Penney entrance are gone. Many of the old metal seats have been replaced with furniture.
- The restaurant space, formerly Diamond Dave's, is now Bubba-Q's.
- The B&D Gift Shop is gone. Store is currently vacant.
- The former Shoe Doctor location has recently been turned into a restaurant. Has already changed hands once.
Boston Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Boston in the United States of America.
Boston has over half a million inhabitants and is the largest of New England's cities. As its most important commercial and financial centre, the city on the Charles River has always played an historic role and was the cradle of Independence.
In the centre of Boston, Copley Square features the Trinity Church, which contrasts with the modern Hancock Tower that dominates the skyline. Park Street Church was where, in 1829, William Garrison gave his first anti-slavery speech. In the adjacent Granary Burial Ground, some of America's most famous sons are buried, such as John Hancock, Samuel Adams and Paul Revere.
Beacon Hill has hardly changed over the past 150 years, an architectural gem with narrow, winding cobbled streets and even today, the wrought ironwork of its balconies and banisters indicate that this is one of Boston's most sought after areas.
In front of the Old South Meeting House, in 1729, thousands of Boston's inhabitants protested against the English king and the taxes that he had imposed upon them. The Old State House is Boston's oldest public building. In 1776, it was here that the Declaration of Independence was read out for the first time.
The Plymouth Plantation is a reconstruction of the Pilgrim Fathers' original settlement and is one of the jewels of the many living museums in the U.S.A. To the southwest of Boston there is the museum town of Old Sturbridge Village in which historic buildings from all over the country have been lovingly replicated. Village inhabitants in historical costumes walk and talk in wide open spaces and act out the scenes of daily life as it was two centuries ago.
New England is the traditional face of America and the heart of America's past.

Beware These Worst Beaches for Shark Attacks!
Shark attacks seem to be on the rise in many parts of the world, therefore, you might want to steer clear of the following known shark-infested waters. Statistically, these are among the most dangerous beaches for deadly shark attacks.
1. Pernambuco, Brazil
The shockingly high attack rate in these waters appears to be due to over-fishing. Without enough food supply, the sharks have begun to sample other forms of fare to satisfy their relentless hunger.
2. Second Beach, South Africa
The beach is popular among shark-seeking tourists and cage divers. Tour operators dump boatloads of bloody chum in the water order to entice the great whites. You definitely don’t want to surf or swim anywhere near these boats and their chum lines.
3. New Smyrna Beach, Florida
More than 238 shark attacks have been documented at Florida’s (surprisingly) popular New Smyrna Beach. In fact, 15% of worldwide shark bites have occurred here. Most of the bites are courtesy of baby bull sharks that favor these waters. To date, none of the recorded attacks here have been fatal.
4. Velzyland Beach, Hawaii
About 41 different shark species that frequent Hawaii’s waters including aggressive specimens like bull sharks and great whites. The last fatal shark attack at this beach occurred in 1994 when a tiger shark attacked a surfer. More recent attacks on surfers have been reported, but none fatal.
5. New South Wales, Australia
This region, which includes famous Bondi Beach, has recorded more than 170 unprovoked shark attacks and more than 50 fatal attacks, and great white shark encounters are more common here than in other parts of the world. Due to the position of the continental shelf, swimmers and surfers are in close proximity of deep waters where these potential predators cruise.
6. Fletcher Cove, California
Fletcher Cove may be picturesque, but it is also the scene of 142 unprovoked shark attacks, including some recent fatalities. Scientists are convinced that the fish-strewn waters in this region are ideal feeding grounds for large predators like the great white.
7. Reunion Island, Indian Ocean
This island has had more than 10 attacks in a recent two-year period, three being fatal. This has prompted island officials to close the beaches to swimmers and surfers. Experts aren’t sure why the sharks are biting people with greater frequency.
8. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Since 2005, there have been more than fifty attacks. In fact, researchers have claimed that South Carolina’s waters are just as dangerous as Florida’s when comparing the swimmer-to-attack ratio. Their waters are attractive to species like tiger sharks and bull sharks.
9. Coffin Bay, Australia
The name says it all. Don’t swim here unless you fancy a meeting with a great white. Recently an abalone diver was attacked and killed by two great white sharks. His body was never recovered.
10. Surf Beach, California
A nineteen-year-old surfer was attacked and killed a few years ago by a great white shark believed to be 18 feet in length. The waters here are home to seals, which attract great whites in large numbers.
