1. Tiger Point :
Tiger’s Point or Tiger's Leap is a prominent tourist attraction in Lonavala and offers splendid views of the valley. If you look closely, you can see an impression of a tiger trying to leap across the valley, which is why the vantage point has earned its name. The echo produced by rocks falling into the crevasse is another highlight of this point.
2. Karla Caves :
Karla and Bhaja caves are kind of sister caves, as in most tourists visit both of them in a single day as they are less than 10 kms apart. Karla caves are also of Buddhist origin and look similar to the excavations at Bhaja.
3. Lion’s Point :
Lions view point was easily the best part of my lonavala trip. The moment you reach the edge of the cliff after walking across the road, you just cannot avoid saying “wow!”. The view is majestic and panoramic. You would see dozens of small waterfalls all over the place with one waterfall pretty prominent in the view.
4. Bhaja Caves :
Bhaja Caves or Bhaje caves is a group of 22 rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BC located in Pune district, near Lonavala, Maharashtra. The caves are 400 feet above the village of Bhaja, on an important ancient trade route running from the Arabian Sea eastward into the Deccan Plateau (the division between North India and South India).
5. Rajmachi Fort :
Rajmachi Fort is one of the many historical forts in the rugged hills of Sahyadri mountains. It consists of two twin fortresses Shriwardhan Ballekilla and Manaranjan Balekilla, with a wide machi surrounding the two Balekillas.

Pawna Lake is an artificial reservoir formed by water of its namesake dam. Situated towards the outskirts of Lonavala, this lake is a popular picnic and leisure spot. Rich verdure encompasses this lake, making it a delight for those who want to spend time in the lap of nature.

Lohagad Fort, literally meaning iron fort, is a historical citadel perched atop a hillock at an elevation of 3400 feet. Situated in the Sahyadri range of Lonavala, it separates the Indrayani basin from the Pawna basin. The elaborate history of this fort associates it with the great Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji.

1.Best destination to visit in monsoon for pune and mumbai people.
2.Rajmachi fort is located near lonavala which is 65 KM and 85 KM
from pune and mumbai respectively.
3.You can reach rajmachi fort from Extreme Adventure Sports(lonavala) by only trekking or with two wheeler but the path would be very difficult to drive if it's rain season.
4.Around 12-14 Km distance you will reach a rajmachi village.
5.The best thing about the village, it only has approx 6-10 small huts and they provide food and shelter for which they charge very less.
Note: village doesn't have any lodge, electricity supply.bathrooms are decent.
6.Stay at village at night and in the morning you can start the trek again to top of the rajmachi fort which is only 30 mins from the village and again come to village after seeing the beautiful scenes.
Rajmachi Trek || Night Trek to Rajmachi Fort, Lonavala
Rajmachi Trek:- Rajmachi is the place in Lonavala which is very famous as a trekking spot and the path is known as Rajmachi Trek.
Rajmachi trek can be done either in 2 days by camping at night or even can be a 1 day trek.
On a full moon day a night trek to Rajmachi fort.
You can visit this rajmachi fort in 2 ways. The 1st being from Karjat you can go to base village Kondane and start trekking which will take 3-4 hrs to reach the rajmachi fort. The 2nd is from Lonavala, you can hire a cab/taxi and go on a roadways.
If you are from Mumbai or Pune, Rajmachi fort trek is one of the best 1 day picnic spot. The best time to visit the rajmachi is in Monsoons and the best time to trek the rajmachi will be in winter.
Trek to Rajmachi Fort can be done from Karjat which is 65 Km from Mumbai and 100 Km from Pune.
Rajmachi has two sunrise points, the first one is Shrivardhan fort and the second is Manranjan Fort. You can go to any one of these points to witness the beautiful sunrise.
Rajmachi trek is a very famous located near two famous hills of Maharashtra, Lonavala and Khanadala.
We started from Hyderabad in Pune Express and reached pune on Saturday 1:15 PM, we had our lunch and got into train to Karjat. At 6:30 PM we reached karjat and started to the base village of rajmachi trek, which is Kondhane, Rajmachi is above the 2000 feet high above the sealevel. At 8:00 PM we started our trek to rajmachi and it was a full moon day. We took the help of kids in the village and got to Udhewadi which is the village on the top of rajmachi trek, We stayed there that night and next day morning we started to Shrivardhan Fort for the sunrise.
