Driving around Lexington, Kentucky - Downtown - Time-lapse video
I recently set off on a trip across America and filmed the entire trip at 4 fps. My goal was to go through every state west of Virginia, and I did. The trip took a month to complete, and I drove well over 10,000 miles, but by sleeping in my Honda Pilot for most of the trip, I only spent about $2K (including all meals). I estimate saving about $3K on lodging. I would shower a truck-stops and hostels along the way. The price for a shower ranged from $5 to $12.
My Sony HXR-NX100 rode shotgun on a tripod shooting at 4 fps. The tripod was held in place using bungee cords giving it I nice smooth feel, even on bumpy roads. I also used this same camera to shoot various scenes around the country, and to interview folks.
