Riihimäki is a town and municipality in the south of Finland, about 69 kilometres north of Helsinki and 109 kilometres southeast of Tampere. Nuuksio National Park is one of Finland's 40 national parks. Established in 1994, the park spreads over an area of forests and lakes in Espoo, Kirkkonummi and Vihti. North-west from Helsinki, it is the second-closest national park to the capital behind the recently established Sipoonkorpi National Park. The name is derived from the Nuuksio district of Espoo. Located less than 30 kilometers from downtown Helsinki, the park can easily be reached by public transportation. Bus 245A leaves from Espoon keskus to Nuuksionpää and Kattila during daytime. Porvoo cathedral is a cathedral of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland in Porvoo, Finland. It was built in the 15th century, although the oldest parts date from the 13th century. It is the seat of the Diocese of Borgå, Finland's Swedish-speaking diocese . The cathedral is also used for services by the Porvoo Finnish-speaking parish, which is administratively part of the Diocese of Helsinki. The church had first become a cathedral in 1723, when the diocese of Viipuri moved to Porvoo, after the Russian occupation of Viipuri.

Trip to Salo

Views of city of Salo. Salo is a city in South-West Finland., about 55 km. from Turku and 110 km. from Helsinki. Salo is mostly known for electronic industry (Salora TV:s 1970's) and for Nokia (1990s-2012?). Salo can be called for Nokia-City. There is a big production plant of Nokia in Salo. In early 2012 Nokia announced that all production plants in Europe will be closed down - this means that unemployment figures will rise in the city. The other mobile phone producer Benefon (nowadays GeoCentrics) is from Salo - as the president of FInland, Mr. Sauli Niinistö.

Many of foreign visitors in the city come to Salo to visit Nokia factories. Salo can reached by train or bus (and by own car). Nearest airports are in Turku and Helsinki.
