VISITING ROSARITO, MEXICO | ATVs, Tacos, Margaritas, and More!
We are BIG fans of visiting Mexico, and one of our favorite places to go is Rosarito, Mexico. We live in San Diego, so it's less than an hour drive which is super easy. Rosarito is home to beautiful beaches, delicious food, and the famous Papas and Beer.We started our day with a huge breakfast at Pancake Republic, located right next to the iconic Rosarito Beach Hotel. We were so full from the delicious meal we needed to walk it off!
Next, we strolled over to the Rosarito Beach Hotel and its surrounding areas. Eventually ending up on the beach, we bartered with some locals to rent ATVs and ride along the beach.
Riding the adrenaline rush from ATV-riding, we then ventured to Tacos El Yaqui. Home to some of the finest tacos we have ever eaten, we savored our time there and would absolutely make a trip back just for the tacos.
The tacos were followed up with more walking and a few margaritas. We needed an afternoon nap, so returned to the hotel to rest and wash up before dinner.
Later that night, we dined at El Nido. It has a rainforest decor, friendly staff, and delicious food. We were talking with our server and found out there is a wine cellar below it! We ventured down after our meal to investigate.

We've spent a ton of time in Baja California since we live in San Diego, which is right across the border. To wrap up some of our favorite places to visit, we thought we'd make a roundup video on our top 5 favorite cities in Baja California Norte. These are in NO particular order, and we've linked to the blog posts below if you want to learn more details :)1. Tijuana: This is one of Baja California's funnest cities to visit, including the El Vergel waterpark which is home to the FAMOUS Slip N Fly waterslide.
2. Tecate: We were surprised at how much we love this charming town. Check out the Tecate Brewery and Miguel Hidalgo for fun things to do, and grab a margarita on the beautiful patio at Meson TKT.
3. Ensenada: One of Baja California's most diverse cities, check out the street food scene or go wine tasting in Valle de Guadalupe.
4. Rosarito: This is the perfect beach getaway that also has some of the best tacos ever from Tacos El Yacqui.
5. Mexicali: This border city has some of the best Chinese food outside of China!
