Buddhist & Hindu Temples in Kathmandu valley, Nepal in HD
The four major Buddhist and Hindu temples in Kathmandu valley. All four are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
1. Swayambhunath is an ancient (about 5th century) Buddhist temple complex on a hill in Kathmandu . Also known as Monkey Temple.
2. Boudhanath stupa is one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet.
3. Pashupatinath is an ancient Hindu temple in the Kathmandu valley (5th century), considered the most sacred Shiva temple.
4. Changu Narayan is a Hindu temple, possibly the oldest temple of Nepal (4th century).

Tibet 1985 014a Sakya
Located in Sakya County southwest of Shigatze, the Sakya Kloster (Sakya Monastery) is the principal monastery of the Sakyapa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The Southern Monastery was built like a fortress and was surrounded by a moat. Construction of the monastery began in 1268 and was led by Benqen Sagya Sangbo under the commission of Choygal Phakpa, the fifth descendent of Sakyapa Sect. The walls of this monastery were painted in red, white and grey which indicate Manjusri Bodhisattva, Avalokiteshvara and Vajradhara. Sakya Kloster is famed as the 'Second Dunhuang' due to its colossal collection of numerous Tibetan Buddhist scriptures, murals and Thangkas. According to statistics, about 40,000 volumes of scriptures are housed there. A wooden bookshelf which is about 57 meters (187 feet) long, 11 meters high (36 feet) and one meter wide (three feet) has 464 grids. More than ten thousand scriptures are housed on the shelf. Among them, the most precious is Burde Gyaimalung, which records Tibetan religion, history, philosophy, literature, agriculture and animal husbandry. It is 1.8 meters (six feet) long, 1.3 meters (four feet) wide and 0.67 meter (two feet) thick and boasts the biggest scriptures in the world. Additionally, it also houses 21 volumes of Buddhist scriptures written on Pattra leaves in Sanskrit. Each consists of one hundred to two hundred pages and four-color illustrations. They are the most precious sutras in the world.

The opening ceremony of NCC National Games-2014 was conducted at DG NCC Camp, Delhi Cantt.
Lt Gen Aniruddha Chakravarty, DGNCC formally opened the games amidst pageantry and thunderous applause.
The aim of the NCC Games is to provide the talented sports persons amongst the Cadets a feel of a major sporting event and prepare them with requisite match temperament and further their sporting careers. An added aim is also to showcase and promote low cost indigenous games such as Kabbadi and Kho-Kho.
The NCC National Games being conducted over eleven days from 08 to 18 October 2014 will see competitions in eight sports disciplines i.e, Football, Hockey, Athletics, Table Tennis, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Badminton and Shooting. Football will be played at various venues in Delhi Cantt with finals slated on 16 Oct 2014. Hockey will be conducted in Major Dhyan Chand Stadium with semi-final and finals on 16 and 17 Oct 2014. Table Tennis and Badminton are being conducted in Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium and Athletics in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium with finals on 17 Oct 2014. All events are being conducted at Delhi except Shooting, which is being conducted at Asansol, West Bengal.
Nearly 2000 cadets from 17 State Directorates representing all states and Union Territories in the country are participating in the National Games.
