I spent about 1 week in Canada working together with Québec Original and the local tourism boards to show you an interesting mix of the best things to do in Québec featuring outdoor adventures, sights and food experiences along the Great Trail.
The Trans Canada Trail, being promoted since 2016 as The Great Trail, is claimed to be the world's longest network of recreational trails.
I got the chance to camp by a lake, canoe, paddle, hike, climb, bike and do horseback riding - all the activities you are able to do along the Great Trail. On top of that I had the chance to fly with a seaplane to get to see the Mauricie region from above.
Even though I had only that little time I managed to cover a big part of Quebec from Gantineau all the way over to Quebec City spending most of my time out in the nature
This trip was executed within 8days - following I list all the places I visited & Things to do in Quebec:
- Gatineau Park
- Wakefield
- Taylor lake, Lac Philipe, Lusk Cave

Montreal in Canada has a population of 4,027,100, landmarks, travel, tourism
Greater Montreal is the most populous metropolitan area in Quebec, and the second most populous in Canada after Greater Toronto. In 2015, Statistics Canada identified Montreal's Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) as 4,258.31 square kilometres (1,644.14 sq mi) with a population of 4,027,100.[3]
A smaller area of 3,838 square kilometres (1,482 sq mi) is governed by the Montreal Metropolitan Community (MMC) (French: Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal, CMM). This level of government is headed by a president (currently Montreal mayor Valérie Plante).
The inner ring is composed of densely populated municipalities located in close proximity to Downtown Montreal. It includes the entire Island of Montreal, Laval, and the Urban Agglomeration of Longueuil.
The outer ring is composed of low-density municipalities located on the fringe of Metropolitan Montreal. Most of these cities and towns are semi-rural. Specifically, the term off-island suburbs refers to those suburbs that are located on the North Shore of the Mille-Îles River, those on the South Shore that were never included in the megacity of Longueuil, and those on the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Peninsula. Communities in that area are also informally referred to as the 450, after the telephone area code that has served the region since 1998.
Due to their proximity to Montreal's downtown core, some suburbs on the South Shore (Longueuil, Brossard, Saint-Lambert, and Boucherville) are usually not included in the off-island suburbs even though they are on the mainland.Baie-d'Urfé

Montréal en Lumière Montreal's Festival of Lights 2019
#montreal #montrealenlumiere #montreallightfestival
Hi from Daniel and Naz. We are in Montreal!
PLEASE SUBCRIBE to this channel for more travel adventure! Thanks!
Cold and snow does not stop the denizens of Montreal from coming out, so we are out too despite the weather. The wood fires are burning and the lights are up for the annual Montreal en Lumiere Festival.
Montréal en Lumière is one of the largest winter festivals in the world, an annual celebration registering one million festival site visits from fans experiencing the joy of Montreal wintertime through a unique program combining performing arts, gastronomy, free outdoor family activities, and a full night of exquisitely original discoveries!
Naz has never been sledding. (I guess they don't do that in Kenya). So we are totally doing that...p.s. all events at this festival are FREE!
Ring that bell Daniel!
We highly recommend this event. Bring your hot dogs and roast them over the fire. Have a wintry Blast!

Quebec City KOA: A Video Tour (September 11, 2018)
Video with clips from around the Quebec City KOA Holiday campground followed by a driving tour through the park. Actually located in St. Nicolas, Quebec, the old city of Quebec is not far away. In fact, if you stay two nights, a shuttle to the old town is available.
Available are RV sites, cabins and tenting sites. RV sites come with electrical, water and sewage hook-ups. Other amenities include a heated pool, two children's playgrounds, jumping pillow, fenced in dog park and a store/restaurant.
The campground is located just off highway 20 at exit 311 on Chemin Olivier.
