1. Old Town San Diego State Historic Park San Diego
Old Town is a neighborhood of San Diego, California. It contains 230 acres and is bounded by Interstate 8 on the north, Interstate 5 on the west, Mission Hills on the east and Bankers Hill on the south. It is the oldest settled area in San Diego and is the site of the first European settlement in present-day California. It contains Old Town San Diego State Historic Park and Presidio Park, both of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

2. Mission Beach Boardwalk San Diego
Mission Beach is a community built on a sandbar between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. It is part of the city of San Diego, California. Mission Beach spans nearly two miles of ocean front. It is bounded by the San Diego River estuary on the south, Mission Bay Park on the east, and the community of Pacific Beach on the north. A boardwalk runs along the beaches on both the ocean and bay sides of the community. The main artery through Mission Beach is Mission Boulevard. The community is divided into South Mission, a peninsula, and North Mission. At the south end of the beach a jetty, with grass, parking and a walk, extends into the ocean.

6. Embarcadero San Diego
The Embarcadero in San Diego, California is the area along the San Diego harbor on the east side of San Diego Bay. Embarcadero is a Spanish word meaning landing place. The Embarcadero sits on property administered by the Port of San Diego, in the Columbia district of Downtown San Diego. The Embarcadero is home to the San Diego cruise ship terminal, the USS Midway museum ship at Navy Pier, the Star of India and seven other historic vessels belonging to the San Diego Maritime Museum, and various restaurants and shops from the North Embarcadero down through Seaport Village. The Port is redeveloping the historic Broadway Pier to create a second cruise-ship pier and terminal. That project is slated for completion in December 2010.

7. El Prado San Diego
The El Prado Complex is a historic district in Balboa Park in San Diego, California. The 13-acre complex includes 13 contributing buildings and one contributing structure. Most of the structures were built for San Diego's Panama-California Exposition of 1915–16 and were refurbished and re-used for the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935–36. The original architects were Bertram Goodhue and Carleton Winslow. The area was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Aquatica San Diego
A seasonal water park. The former Knott's Soak City. It features a wide array of attractions for all ages and swimming abilities: wave pool, lazy river - hich passes by a Flamingo habitat, water slides, hoses, jets, geysers.

Seaport Village
A waterfront shopping and dining complex. Houses more than 70 shops, galleries, and eateries. Designed to be a car-free environment, with four miles (6 km) of winding paths rather than streets connecting the various buildings.

USS Midway Museum
A maritime museum located in downtown. Consists of the aircraft carrier Midway. The ship houses an extensive collection of aircraft. USS Midway was America's longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century, from 1945 to 1992.

Balboa Park
A 1,200-acre (490 ha) urban cultural park. In addition to open space areas, natural vegetation zones, green belts, gardens, and walking paths, it contains museums, several theaters, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo.

SeaWorld San Diego
An animal theme park, oceanarium, outside aquarium, and marine mammal park. As of December 2012, there are 26 animal habitats, 10 rides, 20 shows, 2 play areas, 4 limited-time events, and 11 distinctive experiences (such as swimming with dolphins).
