Reuben H. Fleet Science Center
A science museum and planetarium in Balboa Park. Was the first science museum to combine interactive science exhibits with a planetarium and an IMAX Dome theater, setting the standard that most major science museums follow today.

Aquatica San Diego
A seasonal water park. The former Knott's Soak City. It features a wide array of attractions for all ages and swimming abilities: wave pool, lazy river - hich passes by a Flamingo habitat, water slides, hoses, jets, geysers.

Seaport Village
A waterfront shopping and dining complex. Houses more than 70 shops, galleries, and eateries. Designed to be a car-free environment, with four miles (6 km) of winding paths rather than streets connecting the various buildings.

USS Midway Museum
A maritime museum located in downtown. Consists of the aircraft carrier Midway. The ship houses an extensive collection of aircraft. USS Midway was America's longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century, from 1945 to 1992.

Balboa Park
