1. Castro Theatre San Francisco
The Castro Theatre is a popular San Francisco movie palace which became San Francisco Historic Landmark #100 in September 1976. Located at 429 Castro Street, in the Castro district, it was built in 1922 with a Spanish Colonial Baroque façade that pays homage—in its great arched central window surmounted by a scrolling pediment framing a niche—to the recently rebuilt basilica of Mission Dolores nearby. Its designer, Timothy L. Pflueger, also designed Oakland's Paramount Theater and other movie theaters in California in that period. The theater has over 1,400 seats . The theater's ceiling is the last known leatherette ceiling in the United States and possibly the world. Another leatherette ceiling was demolished just a few years ago. The Metreon is a shopping center located in downtown San Francisco at the corner of 4th Street and Mission Street. It is a four-story 350,000 square foot building built over the corner of the underground Moscone Center convention center. Metreon opened on June 16, 1999, as the first of a proposed chain of Sony urban entertainment centers, aggregating dining, gaming, music, exhibitions, shopping, and movies. Sony intended the ambitious 85 million dollar project to be not only a theme park and gallery for Sony products but also a way to reinforce a sophisticated image for the Sony brand. The city of San Francisco has been on my travel bucket list for a long time but I knew there were too many things to do in San Francisco to fit it all into one weekend. That's why this isn't an extensive guide to San Francisco, but it's a realistic guides to 13 things to do in SF if you have a weekend there.

In this whirlwind San Francisco tour, we'll explore some of the best food in San Francisco (because San Francisco food is AMAZING!) as well as the best tourist attractions. I've also thrown in a few Instagram locations too.
