San Pablo villa de Mitla in Oaxaca Mexico. Pt 2 of 3
Archeological site of San Pablo villa de Mitla in Oaxaca Mexico.
INSIDE OAXACA'S ZAPOTEC RUINS - MITLA
Mitla is the second most important archaeological site in the state of Oaxaca in Mexico, and the most important of the indigenous Zapotec culture.
Mitla itself was inhabited at least since the Classic Period (100-650 CE) and perhaps from as early as 900 BCE.
The temples were used as a funeral ceremonial site. The designs contain geometric patterns. When the Spanish colonists arrived, they ordered the obliteration of the temples and built Catholic churches using the stones and materials from the temples. The theory as to why some buildings are still standing is due to the small geometric stones which were unusable for constructing the church.
Follow us as we walk through this archaeological treasure located outside the city of Oaxaca.

Mitla Ruins Archaeological Site | English| Subtitles | Oaxaca | Mexico
In this video I am exploring the ruins of Mitla in Oaxaca, Mexico. These are, once again some aazing Aztec Ruins. This is a stunning archaeological site. Here you will get a glimpse into the Aztec Empire and some Aztec HIstory.
These are really neat ruins as there is the church onsite, with the courtyards. The major Mayan temple stands close along with tombs which are fun to explore.
This is a great day trip for anyone looking for tours in Oaxaca. Oaxaca City has a lot to offer, and it is close to a lot of Mayan Ruins including mayan temples and mayan pyramids.
Please note, this video is in English, not Spanish but it does have subtitles. It has English subtitles, French subtitles and Spanish subtitles.

SAN DIEGO FORT, FUERTE DE SAN DIEGO on a tour by van with Rudy Fregoso
Located on a hill in the heart of downtown Acapulco, the fort is an integral part of the landscape that stands out because of its singular geometric design in the shape of a five point star. This important building houses Acapulco's History Museum.
