Grotta GiganteSgonico Grotta Gigante , also known as Riesengrotte or as Grotta di Brisciachi, is a giant cave on the Italian side of the Trieste Karst , close to the village of Borgo Grotta Gigante or Briščiki in the municipality of Sgonico. Its central cavern is 107 m high, 65 m wide and 130 m long, putting it in the 1995 Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest tourist cave. Isola di MuranoMurano San Michele in Isola is a Roman Catholic church, located on the Isola di San Michele, a small islet sited between Venice and Murano, which once sheltered a Camaldolese monastery , but now houses the main cemetery of the city. The monastery was mostly demolished in the 19th-century, but the church remains, originally rebuilt starting in 1469. The church is dedicated to Saint Michael , the holder of the scales on Judgement Day, a fit guardian of the sleep of the faithful dead. The island cemetery now includes the land of the formerly separate island of San Cristoforo. I DID A MISTAKE ON THE FIRST TITLE. THE STORM WAS ON JULY, 11... NOT JULY, 7
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Went out to chase this big storm but at the end I had to escape 'cause of the strong wind of the gust front. 95 km/h was the speed of the fastest wind gust that have been recorded by a weather station near Caorle.
Pretty exiting moment. Funny stuff. Lots of dust in the air.

I continue through Veneto Giulia along what I believe to be part of a Roman road - the Via Anna before heading north along new roads and getting my first views of the Alps. Although it is June, the rain gets quite heavy and I decide to take shelter and use the time to have something to eat. Despite the bad weather now, the weather had been very nice and the rain and hail, although severe, quickly clears up.
My channel on you tube : is very prolific. I have produced over 2,500 original films.
My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects. For those that want to know more, I have groups on facebook related to motorhome travelling, history and packaging.
Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating!

That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!
