Hello friends, friends, fans and followers of the blog Lleureioci very good morning to all of you. I bring a new report made on 29 October '15 in the region of La Garrotxa, in the Bas Valley route done by the fall season. Visiting big forests and rivers but with the absence of waterfalls, because lately there are a lot of drought. But do a little excursion in these places for nature watching or autumn foliage are incredible seeing the different colors that nature offers far from large cities. Enjoy a walk through the old parts of the Moli de la Vall d'en Bas (Hostalets between peoples and Sant Esteve d'en Bas) in a season as the fall, the leaves of the trees seen moving either feel the water sources of some streams. It was a great route, but a little difficult to absence of indications where the GPS was mad with continuos outside services and study the forest what path to take. Lately, with the latest mobile applications like GPS, making the fen route has to stop and view the surroundings where you follow the path, where you lose a little time. Well, then you step video of this great autumn path made by the Val d'en Bas in the Garrotxa (in the province of Girona), could enjoy and I hope very much, thank you all continue to see my reports of this blog, you soon friends, fans and followers.

Join us as we visit Quebec for a road trip around the Eastern Townships in this travel guide as we highlight outdoor activities in and around Mont Megantic, hiking in Mont Ham and a whole lot more. What we love the most about visiting Quebec this time of year are the beautiful autumn colours in the rural areas of the Eastern Townships where you notice the yellows, reds and oranges of the leaves. If you're thinking about visiting the Eastern Townships we also highly encourage you to try local dishes such as poutine, duck and maple pie. The food in Quebec is legendary. Visit Quebec Road Trip | Eastern Townships Travel Guide Video Transcript:
In our last video, Sam and I spent two days enjoying some outdoor adventures in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, and this video is a continuation of that road trip.
After two days in Sutton, we drove to Mont-Mégantic National Park, which was 2 hours away, though in reality it took us longer because we couldn’t resist stopping for some poutine along the way.
This trip was all about enjoying nature and the outdoors, and we once again teamed up with Tourisme Quebec and Merrell Canada. We stayed in a futuristic cabin in the woods, tackled a few hikes, learned about the universe at AstroLab, and stopped at more than one road side attraction along the way.
Now here’s a recap of that trip!
One thing to keep in mind when it comes to hiking in this park, is that it’s divided into two sectors: the Franceville Sector and the Observatoire Sector. The Franceville sector is located in the northwest end of the park, which is where our cabins were so this is where we went hiking.
During our stay in Mont-Mégantic National Park, we also visited the ASTROLab, which is an astronomy research centre focused on making science accessible to the public.
Our main reason for coming all the way out here was to do some stargazing! Mont-Mégantic is located in the heart of the first International Dark Sky Reserve and that means it’s an astronomy lover’s paradise. Because there’s hardly any light pollution in the area, it’s the perfect place to see and study the stars, however, fog and rain did put a bit of a damper on our plans.
We did drive up to Mont Mégantic to see the observatory and Mont Saint-Joseph to see the chapel, but there weren’t too many views to be had on that day.
Because star-gazing wasn’t possible that night, we went out for a nice leisurely dinner at Aux Toits Rouges. This is a country lodge with its own in-house restaurant and we got a little adventurous with our dishes.
The summit of Mont Ham sits at 713 metres above sea level, but it only has a prominence of 358 metres, so it’s a fairly lighthike.
On our road trip through the Eastern Townships, we also took two little detours. The first was to visit Abbaye St-Benoit-du-Lac), which is an abbey known for its multicoloured bricks and tiled floors.
The 2nd was the Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises, which is an area with boardwalks and walking trails through marshland.
And that pretty much brings us to the end of our whirlwind trip through Quebec’s Eastern Townships! We hope you guys enjoyed following along and we’ll see you in the next video.

HEART-POUNDING CENOTE TRIP before leaving Mexico

It has been getting hot in Puerto Morelos lately, so in today's travel vlog, we’re heading to the brisk water of a cenote to cool off. Near us is the famous ruta de los cenotes, a road filled with these Riviera Maya sinkholes. There are dozens to choose from, but we decided to take a 30-minute drive from our home in Quintana Roo to see Cenote La Noria.
Okay, so maybe calling it a “sinkhole” doesn’t do it justice. This cenote had clear turquoise water with fish swimming and bats flying in the cave overhead. This particular cenote has a terrifying jumping platform where you can stand at Earth level and attempt to jump the ~2 stories to the freezing blue water below. It also features a zipline and a swing over the water.
To get to Cenote La Noria, you take the Ruta de Los Cenotes road from Puerto Morelos for about 15 minutes before turning off at the signs for Cenote Kin-Ha. From there, it’s about another 10 minutes until you see the signs for La Noria.
Later, we meet up with a special friend of ours. You probably know her best as MyTrish Advisor (Facebook.com/MyTrishAdvisor). And finally, we share a new challenge we are faced with—attempting to get a new car battery for our Prius C3 in Mexico. Since the technology for our model isn't as advanced here in Mexico as it is in the US, we may need to drive 60 hours back to the border for a new battery. YIKES! We REGRET not moving to Mexico sooner. This is why we're thankful to be living in Mexico now.

On January 31st, 2018 we packed up our tangerine-colored Prius and left the United States to travel in Mexico. A couple hundred Mexico travel videos later, and almost a year has passed, so we are reflecting on our decision to leave our life in the US behind to travel in Mexico and ultimately decide to live here permanently.
Although we could have probably made an hour-long video about all the reasons why we prefer Mexico over the United States, these are the top 11 things we cherish most about our life in this country. We'll talk about things like food, body image, how time is spent, diversity in landscape, and more.
Some things that we didn't get to talk about in this video (but they are HUGE reasons why we love Mexico) include:
- THE PEOPLE. Mexicans are loving, generous, thoughtful, patient, hard-working, and so many other things. We are thoroughly blessed to be in a country filled with such wonderful people.
- THE HISTORY. Mexico is RICH with history surrounding ancient ruins, native civilizations, tough battles, and triumph. We could easily dedicate our entire channel to Mexican history and still not do it justice.
- THE CULTURE. We did talk about some of the cultural aspects of Mexico, but we could have elaborated on this more, especially in terms of religion, traditions, and holidays.
We hope you enjoy our perspective on why we think moving to Mexico was the best decision we've ever made and just exactly HOW it has been such a fulfilling experience overall.

10 Things to do in Matera, Italy Travel Guide Food Video Transcript:
One destination that’s been at the very top of our travel bucket list for a while now is Matera, and on this trip to Italy, we were determined to make it happen!
Nicknamed “the stone city”, Matera has been quite literally dug out of the rock, and it’s a sight you won’t soon forget. Set on the slope of a rocky ravine, the landscape is dominated by cave dwellings, zigzagging staircases, and early churches that hold some incredible frescoes once you set foot inside.
During our visit, we stayed in the “sassi”, which is the ancient town, and in our opinion, the best way to soak in the vibe of this place.
Now in this video, we’re going to take you on a tour of the city and show you some of the things you can see, do and eat when you visit Matera.
Matera is well-known for its rupestrian churches, carved into the rock and covered in frescoes.
We first stopped by Chiesa Rupestre di San Pietro Barisano, which is the largest rock church in the city of Matera.
We wanted to show you the frescoes, so we continued to Convento di Sant’Agostino, a church and convent dating back to the late 16th Century. We started walking uphill via a series of staircases and winding streets, until we found ourselves in front of Matera Cathedral.
The rocky landscape we noticed is called Murgia (MoorJa) National Park and it’s an archaeological site with cliffs, gorges & caves.
Let’s take a quick break to introduce you to Materan cuisine. Like most of the establishments in Matera, this restaurant was set in a cave and we ate pasta, wine & dessert?
We spent a lot of time visiting cave churches, but for a look at how locals lived in these troglodyte dwellings, we visited Casa Grotta.
The Sassi District is a made up of a network of dwellings carved into the steep slopes of the valley walking into the Casa Grotta.
We visited Palombaro Lungo, a massive water cistern that sits directly under Matera’s main square.
After visiting Palombaro Lungo, we also found ourselves in front of the ruins of Chiesa del Santo Spirito. The church sits beneath Piazza Vittorio Veneto where you can make out frescoes on the walls.
Continuing our quest for Materan cuisine, we ended up at Ristorante Nadi - another cave restaurant that we stumbled upon by chance to see if we could get through a 4 course meal.
Our final recommendation for Matera would be to explore the city at night. Matera looks magical between sunset and blue hour and it was a pleasure to wander around with camera in hand.
