2. Ordesa National ParkTorla Torla-Ordesa is a municipality in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. It is in the northwest of the Sobrarbe region, 100 km from the capital of Huesa, and had 315 inhabitants according to the 2004 census . Torla is in the glacial valley of the River Ara, after the confluence of the valleys of Bujaruelo and Ordesa, assuming that the glacier tongue reached Asin Broto, with more than 30 km in total. The Ara is said to be the only river of any importance in Spain that is not dammed by the human hand throughout the its 70 km course to its confluence with the River Cinca in Ainsa. Torla borders France but lacks a road connection with it, and is a gateway to the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park in the valley of Ordesa, and to Valle de Broto. A wild mountain region in the Pyrenees, with peaks rising to 3017 m and with nearly 200 lakes, many of them of glacial origin, the park comprises a core area of 141 km2 and a buffer zone of 267 km2 surrounding the park. The park's name in Catalan is Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, freely translated as The winding streams and St. Maurice lake. The park has an elevation range of 1600 to 3000 metres and contains four major vegetation zones: lower montane, upper montane, subalpine and alpine. ENG - The Mont-rebei gorge, created by the river Noguera Ribagorçana as it passes throughthe Montsec mountains, separating the Montsec d'Ares from the Montsec de l'Estall and is the only great gorge in Catalonia (Spain) which has been kept more or less intact without being crossed by any road, railway or electricity line. It is only crossed by a mule track partially dug out of the rock, allowing this spot to be enjoyed in a very spectacular manner. The walls of the gorge reach vertical heights in excess of 500 metres at points where the minimum width of the gorge is no more than 20 metres.
ESP - El desfiladero de Mont-rebei es un paraje que se localiza entre las provincias de Huesca y de Lérida (España), entre las comarcas de la Ribagorza y el Pallars Jussà. Se constituye en la parte más estrecha por la que el río Noguera Ribagorzana, que constituye la frontera natural entre Huesca y Lérida, atraviesa la sierra del Montsec, paredes en caída vertical de más de 500 metros y una anchura en su punto mínimo de veinte metros. La parte catalana forma parte de la Reserva Natural de la Noguera. Está dentro del Espacio de Interés Natural de la Sierra del Montsec.
