The Mauthausen–Gusen concentration camp complex consisted of the Mauthausen concentration camp on a hill above the market town of Mauthausen plus a group of nearly 100 further subcamps located throughout Austria and southern Germany. The three Gusen concentration camps in and around the village of St Georgen/Gusen, just a few kilometres from Mauthausen, held a significant proportion of prisoners within the camp complex, at times exceeding the number of prisoners at the Mauthausen main camp. The Mauthausen main camp operated from the time of the Anschluss, when Austria was annexed into the German Third Reich in 8 August 1938, to 5 May 1945, at the end of the Second World War. This film shows the delicate beauty of the rather undiscovered region of Mostviertel (cider region) in the heart of Austria, using extraordinary aerial shots only.

The airborne images show the exiting contrasts the region offers its visitors: gentle hills full of blooming apple and pear trees in the northern Danube area, and the wild adventurous south with its canyons and mountain lakes around the Ötscher National Park, the first landmark of the world-famous Alps.

The dream-like flying camera gives the spectator room for projections of holiday desires: from relaxing family activities to mountain hiking and climbing in the wildlife - just an hour away from the cultural metropolis of Vienna.

Klosterneuburg - Austria HD Travel Channel

Klosterneuburg Monastery in Lower Austria was founded by Margrave Leopold III and his wife Agnes of Germany in the year 1114. Due to his foundation of monasteries, such as Heiligenkreuz Abbey, Kleinmariazell Sancturay and Seitenstretten Abbey, Margrave Leopold III was canonized. Since 1663 he is patron saint of Austria.
1133 the monastery was handed to the Augustinian canons, 50 international canons still live in the monastery today.
The domes decorated with the crowns of the Habsburgs document the influence of the Habsburg dynasty.
Klosterneuburg Monastery is a popular travel destination in Lower Austria for visitors interested in culture.

Das Stift Klosterneuburg in Niederösterreich wurde von Markgraf Leopold III und seiner Frau Agnes von Waiblingen im Jahr 1114 gegründet. Markgraf Leopold III wurde wegen der vielen Stiftsgründungen, wie etwa Stift Heiligenkreuz, Klein-Mariazell und Seitenstetten, heilig gesprochen und ist seit 1663 auch Landespatron von Österreich.
1133 wurde das Stift den Augustiner Chorherren überlassen. Heute leben noch 50 internationale Chorherren im Stift.
Den Einfluss des Hauses Habsburg sieht man z. B. an den Kuppeln des Stiftes, die mit der Kronen der Habsburger verziert wurden.
Das Stift Klosterneuburg ist ein beliebtes Reiseziel für Kulturinteressierte in Niederösterreich.

Dubai Airport handled 83.6 million travelers in 2016, new figures have shown, making it - still - the busiest in the world in terms of international passengers.

1. Dubai International Airport - 77.5m (2015)
As outlined above, Dubai remains the world’s busiest in terms of international passengers, and third busiest overall (behind Beijing Capital and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta).

2. London Heathrow Airport - 71m (2016)
The busiest airport in Europe welcomed just over 30m fliers in 1985 - now that figure stands at more than 70m. Its shortage of runways makes further growth difficult. The busiest routes from Heathrow are to New York-JFK, Dubai, Dublin, Amsterdam and Hong Kong.

3. Hong Kong International Airport - 68.1m (2015)
Built on the island of Chek Lap Kok, on reclaimed land, Hong Kong International opened in 1998. It has grown in size by 153 per cent since 2002, when it handled just 27m passengers. Skytrax named it the world’s fifth best airport last year.

4. Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport - 60.4m (2015)
The ninth busiest airport overall, Paris-Charles de Gaulle is fourth in terms of international passengers. Its busiest routes are to New York JFK, Heathrow, Barcelona El Prat and Dubai, while Air France is its biggest customer.

5. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol - 58.2m (2015)
The busiest routes from Amsterdam Airport - with its six runways - are to Heathrow, Barcelona, Paris, Rome and Gatwick. It is one of the world’s most elderly airports, having been established as a military airbase in 1916 and used by civilian aircraft since 1920.
