Sestola is a comune in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 60 kilometres southwest of Bologna and about 50 kilometres southwest of Modena. It is located near the Monte Cimone and other mountains of the northern Apennines separating Emilia and Tuscany. Sestola borders the following municipalities: Fanano, Fiumalbo, Lizzano in Belvedere, Montecreto, Montese, Pavullo nel Frignano, Riolunato.

The Giardino Botanico Alpino Esperia is an alpine botanical garden located at an elevation of 1500 meters at the Passo del Lupo, some 4 km from Sestola, Province of Modena, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. It is operated by the Club Alpino Italiano , Modena section. The garden was first organized in 1952 as the Centro Erboristico Appenninico Sperimentale for the study of medicinal plants, grass, etc., and set within a natural beech forest at the foot of Monte Cimone. In 1980 it became today's botanical garden, and opened to the public. Its name, Esperia, refers to the Garden of the Gods in Greek mythology. Today the garden contains about 200 species of local and exotic plants, arranged in 32 flowerbeds, with a trail for the blind in Braille, and a section of medicinal plants. Of particular interest ...

Insane Italian Alpine Coaster (Funbob - Adventure Park Cimone)

This is Funbob, an insanely steep alpine coaster located at Adventure Park Cimone, in Sestola, Italy. The top speed is 30mph but it feels much faster! Here is my on-ride POV with no braking. It's fast, steep and wild, and riding it without braking was a real challenge. On several occasions I felt I was going to be thrown off the car...it's totally mad and scary! I hope you enjoy it.
