America Travel part 1 - Nebraska - YouTube
America is amazing in it's diversity. This is video 1 of our travels through the USA filmed by Cindy in 3D which I sampled down to 2D. Nebraska is in the news now days as farmers reject or support the proposed Keystone XL pipeline to carry Canadian tarsands oil to the Gulf for refining.
It was surprising that we saw pronghorn antelope and some very large mule deer bucks on our drive through here.

Car Camera - NE 66 - Ashland, NE to the I-80 Interchange (NE) . 2014 ( ネブラスカ州道66号線 )
On this leg of our journey on this day, we travel from the town of Ashland, Nebraska, U.S.A. along Nebraska Highway 66 and end up at the Interstate 80 interchange along the same route with a quick stop at the Strategic Air & Space Museum (formerly the SAC Museum at Offutt Air Force Base).
Much of NE Hwy. 66 is unique in this part of Nebraska because of it's curves... and beyond the interchange where we stop at, it's trees. If I remember right (and I could be wrong on this), this part of Hwy. 66 (the part we travel on today) was built recently... maybe within the last 25 years when Mahoney State Park was established??? Ah, I may have been too young then to remember, but it seems like that's how it was :p .
Since then, many attractions have popped up around the I-80 Ashland interchange, including a wildlife safari, a golf course, etc.
Hope I'm right on some of these facts :/ ... as always, though, please enjoy the ride!

Car Camera - NE 33 - U.S. 77 Interchange to Crete, NE . 2013 ( ネブラスカ州道33号線 )
Today we go into the countryside again... this time on Nebraska Highway 33 here in Nebraska, U.S.A., from the U.S. Hwy. 77 interchange to just inside Crete.
This highway is a pretty one... unlike the preview photo in the video window, this highway traverses along the rolling Great Planes of Nebraska. It is beautiful but makes for a bit of a bear when you get behind someone you can't pass because of the hills & traffic :p . Once we get to about the Lancaster/Saline County line, the highway becomes more flat because here we enter the Big Blue River valley (or as some call it, the Big muddy hahah~).
The highway has been worked over recently because of shifting concrete slabs (as can be seen by the retrofitted rebar strips at the pavement joints) and is in pretty good shape. The only thing that is a bit baffling are the shoulders... these have been worked over several times to prevent the deterioration we now see once again. I wonder what's up with these shoulders? Were they added later to the highway and not original??? Hmmm.....
(I took a video of this highway about a year ago on a different camera, but it was so out of focus I had to discard it... this time though, success!)
Anyways, please enjoy and please notice the changing trees while you can ^_^ (before the leaves all fall, *sigh* ~winter~.....)!

Car Camera - Lincoln, NE - Youngs E. to Lavenders Addn. via the W. Haymarket . 2014 ( ネブラスカ州リンカーン )
Today we take a long-time-coming tour of the West Haymarket District (including Pinnacle Bank Arena) along with a drive trough the south-side of downtown Lincoln, Nebraska U.S.A. My how this area has developed... especially when compared to a car camera video made about a year ago (poor quality):
(begin this linked video at 6:02)
...with more development on the way, one can only wait while being excited to see what comes next!
Around the S. 21st & N St. area, many of the buildings that once were here have been razed. This area is on the footprint of Antelope Valley and is slated for development, too... one being Exchange at Antelope Valley. There will soon also be a protected bikeway along N St. from the Antelope Valley bridge to the West Haymarket.
Enough said for all there is to see... please enjoy ^_^ !
