Shamokin Dam is a small borough in Snyder County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,502 at the 2000 census. Shamokin , or Shahëmokink in the Delaware language, and Schahamokink in another Algonquian language, means place of eels. The borough name is also derived from a 10-foot-tall dam that was built across the Susquehanna River in the 19th century. The dam supported steamboat ferries run by Ira T. Clement, which transported goods and people between Shamokin Dam and the city of Sunbury on the Northumberland County side of the river. Indian Echo Caverns is a show cave in Derry Township near Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA. The limestone caves are open for the public to visit via guided tour. The entrance to the caverns used by modern visitors is located in a bluff along the Swatara Creek. A second entrance was sealed for security purposes when the caverns were commercialized in the late 1920s. The known portions of the caverns, most of which have been commercialized, represent the intersection of two passages: the eastern cavern and the northern cavern, which meet at right angles to form a large space known as the Indian Ballroom. So on May 12th I moved from the state I grew up in my whole life, California, to Pennsylvania to live with my family. This is a small bit of documentation about my first time on a flight and my trip to Pennsylvania.

I had a lot of fun editing this, and I probably should have had it done earlier, but I needed some time to adjust to being entirely on the other side of the country.

Exploring Livermore, PA

Exploring the witch town area of Livermore, Pa. we camped out, it's a very nice place but people have been saying it's haunted and stuff of that nature. But it was peaceful and relaxing when we went, couldn't find the town because of the water being so high but we found the cemetery, Livermore is a beautiful place! Ready To Build: Susquehanna River Bridge

The Ready To Build campaign showcases five critical investments - including the Susquehanna River Rail Bridge - that are vital to the realization of a renewed, modern passenger rail system.

Connecting Perryville and Havre de Grace, MD, the century-old Susquehanna River Rail Bridge is the longest moveable bridge on the NEC and major bottleneck. The two-track bridge will be replaced by two new high-level bridges with a total of four tracks, allowing for speeds up to 160 mph and eliminating the need to open for maritime traffic.
