Sighisoara was our third stop in our Transylvania Road Trip. It is very rich in history and has an amazing architecture. This medieval city has a very charming appeal. Not to mention that it was the birth place of the original Dracula (Vlad Tepes). Our most favorite site here is the main square (citadel) itself. People watching, eating ice cream, drinking coffee, checking out restaurants, taking lots of photos as it is so photogenic and just simply resting under the tree are few of our favorite activities here. We are 100% recommending for you guys to visit this place.

A video of my visit to Sighisoara, Romania.
Sighisoara, popular for being the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (Dracula), is a beautiful little city nestled in the heart of the Carpathian foothills.
The city was founded by the Transylvanian Saxons sometime in the 12th century and today it's one of the best preserved and most picturesque medieval towns in all of Europe.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sighisoara is only a short drive from Brasov and easy to reach from Bucharest if that's where you're staying during your visit to Romania.
